How does this happen?? Meet Sophie and Sundance. Bernese/poodles. Only 16 months old. She weighs 27 # and he weighs 35 #. So matted that you couldn't even see in their ears and the matted hair made them seem bigger. Big shout out to the The Barking Lot Tulsa for helping them and relieving their matted pain. These two sweethearts did not deserve this life they started. Even with all the neglect they are very loving. We are working to get them healthy and to have groomed bodies. We are needing financial help with these two as they have a road head of them to get to be ready to go to a forever home.

These are post that just break our hearts. Meet Zeus he has crossed to rainbow bridge. He had issues after his neuter and we are unsure if that the procedure created his problems or not. This sweet boy is one of our volunteer's dog and she loved him dearly. After the procedure he developed issues in urinating. She tried everything to help him and took him to several vets and the vet bills added up fast. All she wanted to do was help her baby, but he passed away last night. Now on top of losing her best friend she is trying to pay his bills. We have no proof that the neuter caused his issue so please do not criticize the vet. His vet bills ended up being $2400. We are asking from the bottom of our hearts to help us help her pay this bill. www.route66petrescue.org We all need a little help sometimes and our hearts are broken for her. Thank you in advance. Meet Eric. This sweet 8 year old boy is only 8 . He is a Maltese with papers. He was no longer wanted by his owner. He was bought at an auction from an Amish breeder. Eric has been living outside most of his life and not receiving proper grooming. He was full of ticks. Amazingly he is heart worm negative. Please help us help him. FOSTER OR ADOPT

Tico is still waiting for his perfect home. He is a 6 year old boxer/pit mix on the medium size. He loves other dogs, children and doesn’t bother cats. He walks well in a leash and just loves to snuggle. He is currently in a house with a growing number of children and would probably do better in a quieter environment. He would do great in an apartment with an older couple who could walk him everyday. Please consider fostering/adopting this precious fellas. You will fall in love with his ears🥰

Reminder to keep your dogs safely kept tonight! Fireworks can stress dogs out and sometimes they’ll try to run away because they don’t know what’s going on. Reminder to keep them secure and to give them extra belly rubs on this day 🫶

Come out and join us on Saturday, June 22nd from 10 am to 2 pm for a Pet Wellness Fair specifically for the northwest Tulsa community at The Common Good Tulsa Hub, located at 19 S. 49th W. Ave in Tulsa.

We will be offering a convenient drive-thru clinic for pet vaccines. Please keep your furry friends safely in the car while they receive their vaccinations.

Thanks to a generous grant from Petco Love, we are excited to provide free DHPP vaccines for dogs and FVRCP vaccines for cats to Tulsa pets. Additionally, OAA will be offering free rabies vaccines.

Microchipping: For a small fee of $10, we will also be providing microchips with lifetime registration. Please note that we can only accept cash payments for microchips.

Pet ID Tags and Collars: Each family will receive 2 free pet ID tags, with the option to purchase additional tags for $5 each. The tags will be mailed out the following week just in time for the 4th of July celebrations. We will also have free collars available.

Nail trims: dogs and cats will be provided nail trims at no cost only if they are not fearful or aggressive.

We will be distributing our Helping End Local Pet-Overpopulation (H.E.L.P.) Tulsa low-cost spay and neuter vouchers for individuals residing in qualifying zip codes. The $10 vouchers can be redeemed at Spay Oklahoma, and cash payments will be accepted.

Qualifying HELP Tulsa zip codes include: 74110, 74115, 74116, 74108, 74126, 74106, 74127, 74134, 74128, and 74130.

Please ensure that all dogs have a collar with a leash attached, and all cats are in carriers.

Our hearts are completely broken. Archie crossed to rainbow bridge last night! We are so sorry Archie we tried so hard to help you and somehow we were not able too. You are so loved and we promise you that we will make sure Stella is loved to the moon and back until you two meet again. We wish we could of found you a true home but with your dislike of any other dogs except your gal Stella made it hard, but you always had a forever home with us. You gave the best kisses and loved people like no other. You were the volunteers absolute favorite and made many friends over the years at PetSmart. It’s going to be so hard not seeing you all the time with that big happy smile on your face and no more sloppy kisses car rides where you and Stella licked all my make up off. As I write this my tears flow with all the wonderful memories with you. I’m glad I was able to say goodbye last night and give you lots of love the other day. Dave will miss you dearly too and is struggling with your loss. Like I said big boy don’t worry about your gal Stella we will make sure she is ok. Rest in peace you are forever home now. We love you so much and are already missing you.

Update day 10 and Archie is still sick!! He has eaten about two cans of food and some treats and some peanut butter, but threw most of it up. This boy boy is struggling. We have reached out to several vets, have had ultra sounds, X-rays, bloodwork, fluids and nothing is working and the some vets have been negative towards our efforts in helping him and some have been great but everyone is at a loss. Internal medicine vets are a few weeks out with openings but this poor boy can’t go that long without eating. We are so heartbroken. He had an appointment in the morning with another vet so please send prayers that we get some sort of answer.

Update another trip to the emocenter last night. Still not eating. He received fluids and cerena and they did another ultrasound. Says his tummy is irritated. So more meds to hopefully calm his stomach. Fingers crossed. We love this boy so much. Well our silly boy apparently ate a toy or something. He has been very sick for three days. He threw up a squeaky, but is still having problems. Trip to the emergency vet said he was overall healthy and they did not see anything in the ultrasound. However he did not eat the next day or today so off to our vet he went and they said the barium showed that there still might be something in his tummy. If the barium is not in his stomach in the morning then we will have more test done, but if it is he will go to another vet and they will put a scope in his belly to try to figure out what it is. Archie may need surgery. We are already at $ 850 in vet bills and more will be added tomorrow. We need help.

Buddy is 8 years old and needs anew loving home!! He is NOT A CAT GUY!!! Does well with other dogs and children and is a typical golden retriever. We are needing a foster or adopt her as soon as possible. You can go to our website or email us.
