Interesting case of a cat who fell/jumped from the 3rd floor (aka ‘Sky Rise Syndrome’). On the Ultrasound image you can see a densed (hyperechoic) area of the Urinary Bladder. This is a haemorrhage as a result of the fall (possibly clotted blood but could be an active bleeding). The cat also developed neurological symptoms namely Bilateral Nystagmus which is a vision condition in which the eyes make repetitive, uncontrolled movements. These movements often result in reduced vision and depth perception and can affect balance and coordination. Unfortunately we couldn’t proceed with gold standard treatment for this poor boy due to financial constraints, but cats are amazing and he will hopefully make a recovery with a more conservative approach.
