Been visiting sweet Kitten here for the past 6 years. When we first met, she hid from me for 3 days - to the point where I was asking her owners if they were sure she was actually in the house! 😹 But now she comes right up to me when I visit, and just wants pets & love. She's moving soon and I'm going to miss her.. 💜

Happy New Year!! 😸

In 2022, I cared for a total of 73 cats (and one dog..) in Catskill and Athens. Sadly, a few have moved away, and a few more have passed on. 😿 But it's been such a pleasure getting to know each and every one of them, some of whom I've been visiting for 10+ years and others I've just met recently. They are all so special to me!

I'd like to extend a big THANK YOU to all my clients for trusting me to care for your beloved furbabies 💜 I'm looking forward to 2023 being another great year of getting to know your kitties better! 🥰

Sarah needs a home! 💜 This sweet lady was found on Main Street in Catskill, emaciated and badly matted. One of my clients has taken her in, brought her to the vet, and been fostering her in the hopes of finding her a permanent home.

Sarah is estimated to be 10 years old. She is a bit unsteady on her feet, and has hyperthyroidism which is easily managed with once daily transdermal medication (gets rubbed into her ears). She is still very small (5.5lbs) but has a good appetite, and loves every human she meets. She would do best as an only cat or perhaps with one other cat, and ideally in a home with some rugs or carpeting to help her balance. She likes to snuggle and chat with you, and just wants to be around people.

Hi there! My name is Kira. I'm a Catskill native, living and working in the village with my fiance and our 4 cats / 2 dogs. I have over 8 years' experience catsitting for clients in their homes, and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have for me, as well as provide references. 😊 Please see the info sheet in the pinned post on this page for more details on my services! 🐈

My service area is currently focused mainly in downtown Catskill, but I may be able to visit the greater town of Catskill/Leeds/Athens area depending on your needs and my availability. Just shoot me a message! 📨

Aside from catsitting, I run a handmade pet accessory shop (Kira's Pet Shop), and I also manage The Community Theatre here in Catskill. I am also working on a new project, Cat on the Corner, which should launch in February 2020. 🐾
