We were lucky enough to be gifted with the biggest, brightest goody bag from @cocoandjoebarf at our recent @pawsclub.co pawty.
This is the FIRST TIME we’ve ever tried raw food and we were honestly excited. We’ve always been curious, having known the benefits of raw food for cats as obligate carnivores but were also aware that the preparation and handling of raw food/meat required a lot more effort as it needed to be completely hygienic and clean. Proper storage of the food is also extremely important as it needs to be frozen until about a day before it is served (it can be moved to the chiller about 24 hours prior to serving).
What we really like about @cocoandjoebarf is that they come extremely well packaged and divided into small portions so that the restorage of unused portions are still untouched and clean. It comes with the recommended serving sizes but this is also of course dependent on your individual cat and their lifestyle needs.
As this was our first time trying raw food, it took a couple of times before they were able to accept the taste. To aid the acceptance rate, we mixed our raw food with some natural greek yoghurt 😊
