Big Boss just shouted at me but she shouldn't have left the plate on the low table if she didn't want me to lick the lovely meat things.

The Bosses left me alone and I was a bit sad. Except I had BONES and the other human who used to live with us came to give me food and then Little Boss came to give me food and pets and we went WALKIES and then the other human who used to live with us came to give me food again. Only I threw up when she came in because I had eaten lots of bird food and it was funny so then she had to clean it up. But I had BONES and I had to carry them around and hide them and dig them up and bork bork bork at anything that came too close in case they wanted to take the BONES. So I had lots to do and I didn't really miss them. But I was glad when they came back and I wagged my tail lots and lots but I couldn't let go of the BONE.

It is very warm. Big Boss keeps the front door open so that the flies can get in from the heat. I'm snoozing in front of the open door so that I can be the first to see if any cat or strange human tries to get into the house. Then I will bork. Bork bork bork bork bork.

Big Boss says I have lots more new followers and I need to write again. But it's a bit boring. It's so much more fun now that the Bosses are still at home all the time and don't go out hunting. I don't even mind the big birds anymore. They are not allowed in and that's good. I get to be indoors. Boss says I should chase them out when they come into the back room and poo on the floor but they are a bit big. And then Boss chases them out and shouts at them. Big Boss thinks it's funny.

It's really nice and warm and we are going on WALKIES a lot. Big Boss says that today is my birthday and I'm going to get the nice thing I get every day, and then I'm going to get a nice thing again. I would like the nice thing now. But Big Boss threw some things out for the big birds, so I'm going to go eat them instead.

Big Boss says I need to write more since my awwwdiens misses me. I don't know what it is but it's okay.

We got birds! They are big birds and they walk and run around the garden. The first day I really wanted to chase them but they were in a cage and I wasn't allowed to chase them. Later the Bosses let them out and didn't let me chase them and now I'm kind of used to them. I sniff their butts and they don't sniff my butt but they peck my tail. I don't like that the Bosses look at them all the time when we are in the garden. They should look at me and play with me and say Isambard is a good dog. So I eat the bird food, but then the Bosses are angry at me.

All the humans are home all the time and are not going out hunting. It's great! I thought it must be the special time of the year again but there is no tree inside the house and no sparkly things, and it has been going on for a long time now. But I get WALKIES although we don't go anywhere too interesting and I get belly rubs. I like belly rubs. Sometimes Big Boss is tired and cries but then I snuggle with her and she gets better. A thing arrived today and the Bosses told me I'm going to get my own birds. I like birds.

Name: Isambard! (Big Boss says the papers say CHASING CHTULHU'S BLUEBELLS but I don't know what that means)

• How old are you? I am almost eight. Big Boss says my birthday is on the twenty-sixth of this month but I don't know what that means.

• What’s your favourite human food? I like all kinds of food. I like cake.

• What are you scared of? The invisible fences that hurt you. Nasty dogs.

• Favourite toy or thing to play with? I have a BADGER.

• Favourite things to do? Go on WALKIES.

• Least favourite thing? I really hate it when I have to go in the big white cage and have water poured all over me. And I don't like it when I don't get nice things.

• Have any siblings? Big Boss says that I have sisters but I haven't met them since I left my mammy Salome but I don't remember them.

• How do you feel about the vet? I like the nice humans and I like going to see the nice humans.

• Do you like water? Water is great! I always go into the water. Except when it's falling down or I'm in the big white cage, then it's not nice.

• Something you get in trouble for? I'm really good at barking and keeping watch these days but the bosses don't leave so many nice things on the table anymore while they're not here.

• Where do you sleep? On the sofas.

• Do you go to a groomer? Yes she is another nice human and she is there with the nice humans and I love getting my itches taken away but now I can't go and it makes me sad.

•What's your best trick? Big Boss says I don't need to do tricks to be a good boy. I give paw when I want something.

•Who are your best friends? I used to get along really well with Hoover but he got old and he went away. I like most other dogs.

• Do you like car rides? We go to fun places IN THE CAR.

• Do you snore? Big Boss says that my snore is really comfortable.

• Finally, are you a good Dog? I am always a good dog.

Hello! It's been a long time. I have been doing a lot of things. I was with Little Boss and the furry human that plays for a while and it was nice. They have put in a new door just for me and I can get in and out just like at home. I had a really good time.

Then I had to go see the nice human and they finally found my tooth that had been sore for a long time and the thing in my eyelid that was really annoying and they took them off. And then I had to wear the annoying thing around my head for a long time and I couldn't get in and out when I wanted. But it was okay, and then we went back to the nice human a couple of times and he pointed a bright light into my eye and that wasn't nice but he said I was all good again and I'm a good dog.

Then the Bosses and I and lots of other humans went out to the woods and it was really nice to be out with a real pack, so I didn't go very far at any point. And I got lots of pets but I didn't get any treats. I was really tired when we came home and I slept lots.

Big Boss says that she knows I'm a bird dog but I'm still not supposed to eat bird food. I like it.
