I harvested the first bed of garlic today! 🤠

I grow delicious hardneck varieties that will elevate any dish. 'Northern Jewel" is a superb Michigan heirloom, and you can't beat the flavor of "Music" either. If you haven't tried fresh American grown garlic- you are certainly in for a treat! It adds the perfect kick to any meal. I have much more to harvest over the week, but pre-orders are up on my website. These will be ready for local delivery or shipping sometime in September. 🧄

Happy 313 day! 🖤 My deliveries take us everywhere... but nothing beats getting stuck several times in an ancient birdcage elevator downtown 😂 The walk to the 6th floor was a cakewalk thereafter 🙌

The daffodils are barely peeking up...but we're in for a little warm spell this coming week that will surely help further us along 🤞You can never predict just what mother nature has in store... being present and watching it all unfold in its own time is all part of the plan ☮️

A snapshot of local flowers- ones that you won't find at the grocery store! 💜

When explaining briefly what I do, I often get "I just get mine from trader joes, they have the best prices" Yes, they do- because most all of their (and most every big box store or florist) flowers are bought in bulk and flown in from another country, spayed with chemicals and preservatives to look fresh longer... that's why the roses never smell or open properly, and you're lucky if they last a few days in your vase before looking sad.

Our local flowers are different.... every seed is mindfully planted, and every flower is harvested by me at the perfect time- I cut them so they can open up properly for you in your vase. No chemicals are used on the flowers or in our environment. You get unique varieties that, like local produce, are in tune to each season. Our flowers can last with proper care up to 2 weeks in your case! Every morning, trim the stems and give them fresh water, and they will thrive.

Happy Spring to you! 💚 We're dipping down to 21F tomorrow night, and may even get another blast of snow before the weekend....but we made it through the darkness!! I'm looking forward to all the golden hours to come in the garden 🙌
