Happy Spring to you! 💚 We're dipping down to 21F tomorrow night, and may even get another blast of snow before the weekend....but we made it through the darkness!! I'm looking forward to all the golden hours to come in the garden 🙌

Late August in the kitchen 🌻 Sunflowers remind us to seek the light and joy in our lives. Last year, I grew the most I ever have - sucession planting them every 1-2 weeks. There was plenty for cutting, and more than enough for the pollinators to enjoy 🐝 My returning subscribers no doubt know my favorites, and for my new flower friends, I can't wait to show you! 🌞

I planted this elderberry tree in May of 2021. This year, it grew taller than the fence and flowered for the first time! I can't wait to harvest these berries to make syrup soon 💜

Got the rest of the new roses in today, under that beautiful blue sky. It warmed up to 65F... the warmest it's been here in forever, it seems 😂Started some zinnia and basil seeds too all before the rain came and ruined my blue sky party 💙

My winter onion experiment is going well! 🧅 I started these from seed last fall. It took everything in me not to pull one, just to take a peak 😆 I fed them good today, and they got some well-deserved sun.

It was 32F, but the sun made it feel much better... though my fingers are still frozen from being out there 🙃 I did some planting out in one of my low tunnels today and checked on anything that wasn't covered in snow.

Here's sage looking rather triumphant!
