Georgia was the best pibble duchess who enjoyed blankets, pillows, and everything comfy! Unfortunate Georgia is one of those babies. She is our Duchess!

From Foster Mom: Some rescues just touch our souls to the core. Not because she has a bad story or a sad past, because we don't quite know her past except that she was found in the Pasadena, TX. area as a stray with a broken rope tied around her neck. It was very evident that she had lived her life outside on concrete, tied up most likely. And it was also apparent that she had birthed many litters

of puppies. But what makes Georgia so unforgettable like the song "Georgia On My Mind", is the fact that she is so darn sweet. Everyone that meets Georgia falls in love with her and she with them. Georgia loves all dogs (big and small) and all people - kids especially. Cats don't seem to phase her either. Her favorite things to do are go for walks, chase squirrels and lizards and go for rides in the car. She loves to play with toys and play Hide 'n Seek. She's just a laid back girl that is happy doing whatever her special someone is doing. She is quite funny too - personality plus and always making them laugh. From Momma:
We fell in love with Georgia long before we were able to adopt her, and most likely before she was even in a foster home. Unfortunately at the time we lived in an apartment that did not allow bully breeds. We rescued our other dog Bruce who we thought was a lab/boxer mix because he was so skinny and had him with us in our apartment. As he filled out it became apparent we were going to need to buy a house because he was in fact a bully mix and it was only a matter of time before we were kicked out. But there was another reason we really wanted a house, we still had our hearts set on adding Georgia to our family. Finally in July 2014 we were able to bring our girl home and she will stay with us for ever more! And oh is she royalty. For a dog from an unknown beginning she sure does have a thing for blankies, pillows, and anything soft. She loathes wet grass or hot sticky Houston days. She does however love the cooler months of fall and walks at any time of year. But for all her pickiness... she is our little girl and we love her to pieces. We just hope that we can give her as much joy and happiness as she gives us.

Bruno got to explore a new location today, and while he had fun when it was just him and the foster parents, it became evident that now with him feeling better, he is having leash reactivity to other dogs. This is not something that was seen prior to his eye surgery or when he was in a cone. Luckily, the team at Austin Bulldog Rescue is amazing and has already provided us with resources to start counter conditioning and desensitization training so he has a solid base for when he finds his forever home.

Bruno and foster mom braved the ice to get him to his surgery today. We are waiting to hear he is ready to go, and will hopefully be able to get him this afternoon before the ice gets worse...if not he will be safe at the vet office until we can get to him.
His surgery estimate was a lot, and ABR currently has someone willing to match up to 5k, so if you can help them make that goal it will go a long way!

Starla was pulled from this shelter and our hearts are breaking knowing these animals just need a space to go 💔

UPDATE: Cypress Lucky Mutt Rescue does NOT have a shelter. We are a foster based rescue that pulls from various shelters, Pasadena Animal Shelter, being one of them!! We, along with several other Houston rescues, are standing by willing to help get the animals housed in the now severely damaged Pasadena Animal Shelter to safety! It will take several rescues to make this happen. We appreciate everyone willing to foster and/or willing to help however they can!

Stay tuned as we get updates!

💔The Pasadena Animal Shelter was destroyed by a tornado today. We have a volunteer heading there now to see how we can help but all of the dogs are going to need a safe place. If you have any room (even in your garage) and have the heart to open your home to any of these poor animals now is the time to step up! This is going to take the rescue village! 💔

Bruno was able to get in to see the specialist today and we are excited to help his poor eyes heal. We know he isn't the only dog ABR has in need of specialist care, so if you have a few dollars to spare any little amount goes a long way 💕

2 weeks at our house, getting to relax and eat. Its nice to no longer see how spine and ribs, and to see a little more meat on his rump.
He was so stressed in the shelter he stopped eating. The before pic was even after a week in a temp foster relaxing and eating.

Bruno would love to cuddle allllllllll the time, but he is doing so good waiting to be invited (he was invited in the last video)... and at lunch today he didn't even try ti climb up as he saw I had food. This boy is such a gem!

It's hard to see in pictures just how skinny Bruno is, as he still has a good amount of muscle definition in his legs... There is nothing medically wrong for why he is so skinny, other than stress from his shelter stay but y'all... he weighed 47lbs at his vet visit!
He is 40lbs lighter than me, and the Dr said I'm the perfect weight for my breed and size... and he is bigger than me!
We are going to help him put on weight in a healthy manner, but I may pout a lot because mom said I don't need to gain 40lbs so I won't be getting 4 meals a day 😕

Happy 9th Adoptoversary for my brother Bruce!
Bruce was a puppy on death row in a Houston shelter because he had the sniffles and was not neutered... luckily momma got him with less than and hour to spare and he has been terrorizing the house ever since. He is the original baby, a high anxiety expensive mess, stubborn and grumpy, but mom said she wouldn't change him for the world... I wouldn't mind someone who wants to play a bit more, but I guess I don't get a say.

This is my little brother Leo... he's officially been adopted by our family and I'm kinda ok with that. He was rescued by ABR back in October when we had diaper puppy Verity. We had me tinned we were interested in him, then took Goji on as a foster... so now we have 3 dogs in the house. Mom said hopefully now I won't get depressed every time a foster gets adopted 😆

Bruno is an amazing mix of chill and fun. He happily sleeps in his bed or in our home offices most of the day while we work. Bruno update. He is out of surgery and doing well. Of course everyone at the vet's office loves him. While we are sad to not see him tonight we will drive down and get him tomorrow if the ice let's us. Again his surgery was not cheap and @austin_bulldog_rescue could really use any donations and shares so they can keep rescuing dogs like Bruno.

Bruno is sooo good and taking treats (unlike another dog in this video that likes to shark attack your hand, hence treats going to the ground). Back to Bruno, he really is amazing and will sit and wait and then take it gently. He doesn't try to snatch or take food out of your hands and has even been respectful of the kids eating and carrying around food. While he likes food, it is not his be-all-end-all and he is easy to direct away from food that is dropped or not for him. #GoodBoyBruno #AdoptBruno #AdoptionLinkInBio @austin_bulldog_rescue @starla.the.bulldog
