If you have one of our dogs from New Mexico, chances are this wonderful crazy lady and her faithful pit was the driver . She was so good with all the dogs and cats she transported, and fostered. It takes a village to rescue.

For those of you that haven’t heard yet, we lost our driver Linda yesterday. Linda was an avid volunteer, all around animal lover, and devoted her life to rescue. Her loss left a big hole in our hearts. Linda, you will be missed. ❤️ 😇 🕯

Coopers is a foster based rescue. By Colorado State Law, we can not take in stray or abandoned animals.
Only facilities can take strays. HSPPR reunites over 90% of the strays with their owners.

Adopted ! They have a home .
These bonded brothers need a hospice home. They are so very sweet. They have heart murmurs stage 3-4. They can not have surgery do to their health. Their mouths/ teeth are being managed. Most if their teeth have just fallen out.
Years ago they were attacked by a bigger dog. Peanut lost his eye , Gizmo sustained neurological injuries. He is bent in a U shape, his front feet work separately than his back feet. They are love bugs. These are old , injured, sweet boys.
They aren’t going to go on walks, they are not “house broke” but use potty pads. They love to give kisses and snuggle.
It is obvious they didn’t have access to vet care or regular food and water. Gizmo is under weight, and we have been working on his malnutrition. They need several bowls of water put out so they don’t drink each other’s urine. They love fresh water. Typically, dogs that drink urine did not have access to fresh water.
How simple. They love fresh water. They love the sunshine. They love kisses.

I have been asked why I have not put them down, they are old, they have long term injuries, they can’t go outside to potty, they have heart issues. 🐾. All I say is meet them. Meet these two precious souls. Know the love of an old dog, an old soul. Be unconditionally loved by two old brothers. I don’t know how many months or years they have. All I know is where they are medically today.
I supose that is the meaning of rescue. Helping the least, being compassionate and accepting .

Our sweet foster dog, Sequoia, got her Christmas wish...a forever home of her own!!

While I am sad for me because we will miss her, I am SO thrilled for this girl! She deserves everything good in life! 🤗 Merry Christmas Sequoia, we love you!

A nice man is headed to a nursing home. We can only take these cuties into Coopers if we have foster homes. How about a Christmas miricle for these chihuahua mixes.
