Hurricane Hellene Disaster Relief Donations Needed!

UPDATE

I wanted to come on and repost. The trip will be pushed back to leave Sunday morning now. I have had so many that has called and texted saying they didn’t have enough time to get there before cutoff time. New cutoff time is this Saturday at 3:00pm. I want to sincerely thank everyone for making this trip happen bless each and every one of you.

The Eupora Police Department is accepting donations for those impacted by Hurricane Hellene. McCool Construction will be transporting the supplies to North Carolina with official authorization. We're asking for items such as cleaning supplies, toiletries, baby products, and more—please, no clothing donations.

🕒 Drop off by Sunday October 6, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the Eupora Police Department.

Barb Mauller’s fundraiser

This year for my Birthday, I’m doing a fundraiser for Little Mountain Rescue. Expenses this year have outrun the funding resources. Costs for dog food have increased, veterinary costs have gone up, flea, tick, heartworm and wormer treatments have outrun the ability to cover them with available LMR funding.
Inflation costs have resulted in far more litters of puppies born because dog owners were unable to put spay/neuter of their pets into their overstretched budgets. In one week, LMR was contacted to take EIGHT LITTERS OF PUPPIES. Sadly, LMR could not meet most of the requests due to lack of space and ability to provide care
There is NO WAY to put a positive spin on the current status. The situation is heartbreaking.

Additional funds are desperately needed to continue the mission of caring for abused, homeless, sick and abandoned dogs in Webster County area.
All donations will be greatly appreciated. I know many face economic challenges. If you are unable to donate, but wish to help please forward this post.

👑 This princess is already changing the world for animals! 😻💫

We are thrilled to introduce our first ever junior ambassador, Amelia Jade McGonagill!

As Little Miss Pure International, Amelia Jade’s project is Princesses for Pets.
👸🐾 🥹

And she is going to help some of the pets who are most in need: the ones here at the shelter! 😻🐶😻🐶

Amelia Jade will be doing supply drives, encouraging monthly donors, and more.

When it’s the first day of summer, and you had to help “supervise “ blue berry picking—these LMR pups in foster care stretched out for a good nap

Look what got dumped in 90 degree weather, down a dirt road w no food or water.

Little Mountain Rescue was contacted by two individuals from different areas of Webster county, close to Eupora LMR
At each of two sites, 6 puppies were dumped on a dirt road, far from any houses, without food or water. The temperature is in the 90+ range. The creeks have dried up so there is no water and they had no food

The pup groups are 9 weeks old and 10 weeks old respectively— too young to fend for themselves

LMR agreed to take the pups as there is nowhere else to turn for help. The puppies have been bathed, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas and FED AND WATERED. They seem to be in good shape as they were not left out for too long before being discovered.

They will have completed vaccinations, received rabies and been spayed/neutered by mid July. Hopefully they will make the trip to new homes soon
