From raining cats and dogs, snowy paws and hot dog days of Summer, Mother Nature tests us in Northern Ontario. But She doesn’t stop the fun at The Lodge with North Bay’s only indoor daycare play space; 1800sqft spacious and bright, controlled indoor temperature, heated floors, customized group size and energy levels. Just one other feature in The Lodge promise of happy, safe and balanced canine care.

Green collar male from our Flo x Barrett litter is looking for his furever home to call his own. As sweet as pie, nicknamed “Mini Bear” mirroring his Poppa Barrett in so many ways; high energy with an off switch, desire to retrieve, solid framed with a blocky head, and the signature Barrett big beautiful eyes.

He made a list, he checked it twice, he found out The Lodge’s first annual Photos with Santa event raised an impressive $2425.00 for The Nora Project to be presented to SickKids Foundation!

The spirit of Christmas was alive last night as canine adoring families flooded The Lodge to capture a memory and share a treat with Santa and Mrs Clause! The Lodge is honoured to have brought this annual event to the North Bay community. THANK YOU to the countless participating families, Northern Santa, photography by Neva Fantham-Tremblay and The Lodge Team for a magical event!

Her legacy on Her birthday ❤️

So who is She? The grey faced poster-pup all around The Lodge, Her paws imprinted in the front steps and Her memorial hung in the front lobby… Rogue.

Those who have been part of the Canine Field Co family for some time are familiar with Rogue and the path she paved in our lives leading into the evolution of The Lodge. The Lodge exists because of Rogue. A once-in-a-lifetime dog whose impact on our lives went lightyears beyond being just a family pet. The Lodge is Her legacy and is dedicated to Her.
After a courageous 6 month fight, Rogue found Her peace halfway through the construction of The Lodge; things look quite different since then, but every day we honor Her legacy through the all smiling faces that have become a part of The Lodge family.

To the dog that started it all - we thank you and miss you still every day. Happy 10th Birthday, sweet Rogue.

What an amazing Lodge family we’ve grown!

We’ve had this beautiful hand made quilt donated in support of this Fridays event. All proceeds will be added to the .nora.project fundraising event.

Tickets are available in person or over the phone for 5$ or 5 for 20$

We will have Santa and Nora draw the ticket Friday evening.

“Barrett” Super Retriever Series Crown Championship 4th place Finalist 🏆

First Michael at Windy Hill Retrievers said Barrett would be successful in SRS, and he was.

Then He knew Barrett would qualify for The Crown, and he did.

Then He trusted Barrett would be a final series contender, and did he ever - 4th place Finalists in The Crown.

Michael and Family, we cannot thank you enough for your long hours, dedication and sacrifice not only to Barrett’s continued training and skills, but also his wellbeing and safety through the whole Crown adventure. It’s safe to say our Bear has proven to all North America this 🇨🇦 boy has made it to where the big dogs play!

Christmas in November 📸 🎅🏼

We met young Nora, and her furry companion Georgia, shortly following the opening of The Lodge. We pledged, when the time was right, to create and host an event in support of her cause.
Nora joined the Group for Improvement of Intestinal Function Treatment (GIFT) Program at at 2 months old. A multidisciplinary team, the GIFT Program has changed the landscape and scope of treatment for children with intestinal issues. Their research and advancements have made a reality possible where Nora can have a childhood outside of the hospital.

Canine Field Co was founded on an ethical training, breeding and compassionate boarding program, however, we are so much more. Canine Field Co believes in a strong community approach to the sporting dog world. The entire sporting dog world is blessed to have so many dependable training professionals across Canada and the USA. Many breeders mirror our ethical breeding program and produce outstanding dogs that will better the pedigrees for years to come. Our belief is that strengthening the community and supporting others in the passion will only further us all. While Canine Field Co may provide you with your future hunting partner, we are also happy to recommend others that could provide you the same. Our training program is competitive and our dogs are examples of the attention to detail in our actions
