Y’all had some favorite oils in 2024. What do you use your fave oil for?

Currently, mine didn’t make the list but it is a toss up between Balance and Birch. Both are grounding, earthy and calming throughout the day! 😍

Diffusing balance brings peace to the classroom and hallways, a much needed support during this funky time between school breaks.

It’s mow day and power washing all the things I need to paint before winter day today! Fall has definitely arrived.

I am also impatiently waiting for a few seeds that we are going to winter sow and surviving allergies from the fields around us being harvested.

How do you prep for winter?

Well, we have made it through all of the moving boxes and I’m glad to say we have found new homes for everything. I truly thought this process would take over a year when I saw those boxes stacked to the ceiling in the farm basement. Three months wasn’t bad!

Today is an incredible 66 degree sunshiny day - the perfect day for a drive to the lake to rescue my essential oils and other apothecary.

Candles won’t be back for a while, but I’m grounded in the return to home, the dirt beneath my feet, and living simply. 😍

I can hear the wind saying, welcome home.

Yearning for Simple Living?

Mikelly Farms is the beginning of something different. It took some false starts and a lot of living to get to this place. It's a little scary trying something new, but I think you'll enjoy our adventure. Decade four brought with it the desire to find peace through new paths - one of which was the desire to be a maker. The second, togetherness. We love our busy lives, but want a deeper connection - with life, each other, and the world around us. We want to live with intention and share that life with others.

So...what if we stopped climbing and just enjoyed this place? What if we rerouted the entire journey and went on a new adventure?

What if, we change everything and do only what brings joy to our lives?

This is where we begin.
