This is lovely Lucy. She is pregnant and had a visit from our dog rangers yesterday, preparing for the big day!

She had a few mango worms, which were all pressed out. The owner also got advice on how to prepare for Lucy giving birth and the arrival of the puppies. He will create a safe and comfy place for her to stay. 🐾👍

In May, we had an outbreak of 13 suspected parvovirus cases (that we knew about). We sadly lost one puppy, but as many as 12 made it through and are now looking much better. Gaining strength, weight and growing fine... 👍👏

Here are Mike and Queen, two siblings who have recovered. 🐶🐶

It is a challenge when we have an outbreak of parvovirus in the village. Together with daily visits, educating and advising the owners on what is best to do is crucial, as the puppies will be treated where they live. Parvovirus is highly infectious, so a good portion of the educational process is also about preventing contamination and further spread of the virus...

On 12th July 2025 - the founder of Pups and Paws Prevention CIC - Leonie R Morris plans to hike 34 miles of the South-West Coastpath in one day from Falmouth to Lizard Point 👣💪 This is to raise money for our neutering clinic kit! 🐾🐶 This will enable us to have the necessary equipment when we are having vets visiting us! This poor pup was in a critical condition. Sadly, the owner expected the pup not to make it.

The Gunjur Dog Patrol team supported the owner to press out the mango worms and allow the pup to recover. You can see the difference already.
