😔💔 It’s with incredible sadness that we must announce that Heidi has passed over the rainbow bridge 🌈. Thank you for all your kind wishes of support and the love you sent our way; it’s been of great comfort ❤️. Heidi was not with us very long and was already a good age when she joined us, but without doubt, she had a personality that was impossible not to fall in love with. We are missing her already.

The herd was also sad to see her go 😔. Ziggy and Billie Jean sat with her after her passing, licking and nuzzling her. She only knew them for a brief period too, but there was clearly an instant bond.

In the end, Heidi had too many complications happening at the same time and we had to make the very tough call to help her go rather than suffer any longer. It’s easy to try and play God, pushing these little guys through invasive and stressful treatments and surgery only to lose them weeks later. But sometimes you have to do what’s right for them. In the final days Heidi had lots of cuddles (which she really did enjoy). She was given the best treats to nibble at and supported with painkillers and love. She had a really good life. 🐹❤️

Heidi, thank you for sharing some of your life with us, we feel very blessed 😇. We hope we did the right things by you and that you have joined the rest of our herd over the rainbow bridge. Sleep well princess, love R & H x 🐹❤️🙏🏻🌈

😔💔 It’s with immense sadness that we must announce the passing of little Elsa, our beautiful tr-coloured crested guinea pig. She crossed over rainbow bridge 🌈 on the 26th November but we’ve struggled to come to terms with it and write this post 😔. Every piggy is special, but Elsa had an extra special sparkle ✨. We adopted her as a baby with her sister Bea (they were both born in a rescue) and they grew up alongside our first human baby, Scarlett. Elsa was always small compared with her sister (and the rest of the herd), but this was probably down to her very gentle nature and friendliness 🐹❤️, she wasn’t one to push others out the way around the food bowl!

Elsa always had immense trust in us as humans and was incredibly photogenic 😍. This is why you will notice her in so many of our photo shoots – she seemed to embrace and enjoy the attention! We are so grateful for the time we had with her and hope she is popcorning free with her sisters right now 🌈. Thank you for everything Elsa, we will miss you so much and you will forever be immortalised in the history and future of HayPigs! 🐹🎪❤️ Rest easy sweet princes, mummy and daddy love you very much, chin rubs from us x 🐹❤️
