Getting good birthday scruffs!!

My human got me a new blanket and it’s so soft, I’m so happy. . . . Why does he do this? In case you guys didn’t know, when we first found Stormy he was only about 4 weeks old (I had to guess using facts from the humane society’s website that has clues on how to tell the age of a kitten). So he stopped nursing at a very young age (it’s hard to say how young bc we have no clue when they were separated) and because of that, he likes to suck and knead very soft, thick blankets similar to cat fur! He had a blankie for over 6 years and through the many years of love that he gave it (and washes that it went through) it got pretty worn down so he started doing it to MY blankets. Even though he’s not a kitten he still has to knead and suck on blankies, so I had to replace it. It puts him right to sleep and it’s one of the rare times that he purrs. Just wanted to explain in case anyone was curious as to what the heck this silly boy was doin. - His Human Mom
