He is at risk of being put down as the municipal shelter is full and he is first on the blacklist!!
He is just over a year old and has been in ‘jail’ for most of his life.
He came to the municipal shelter as a puppy in May 2023 (!!)
He is sweet and friendly and sociable with a heart-breaking gaze
And more than everything – he is transparent.
He is not a white or small dog
But he has a huge heart and lots of love to share and he is being squandered because people fail to notice him because they don’t give him a chance.
I will call him Libi
Now the little one has a name
And we haven’t forgotten you, we see you.
And we are sure that someone will see you now and open their hearts to you ❤️

The clock is ticking for Kaia and any moment now her time will have run out.

Kaia was abandoned at the age of 1. She went to kennels where she lived for almost two years. Two weeks ago, she was fostered and began to get used to the pleasant and comfortable life in a home and tomorrow, once again, she has to return to a cage at the kennels. We will be holding two adoption days this weekend!

Today, Friday, we will meet at the Black Horse Park on King George Street between 12:00-14:30 and tomorrow there will be an adoption day in central Israel with our dogs who are in amazing private boarding facilities at Moshav Bazra in the Sharon region between 11:00-14:00. We are excited to meet you in the centre as well.

We are waiting for you to come and adopt a four-legged friend just in time for Valentine’s Day!

What does a broken heart look like?
This broken heart has a nose that has already turned white, white eyelashes enveloping tired eyes. This broken heart is a gentle creature who was abandoned to a freezing shelter in the peak of winter at the age of 8.

It is impossible to miss Dov's broken heart...
One glance at Dov is enough to tell the terrible story of an 8-year-old dog who looks much older due to the sadness and the insult of being abandoned and we can only guess what he's been through.

Once again, we are left speechless and with deep disappointment towards apathetic and uncompassionate people.

Dov is only looking for a long-term foster or a compassionate adoptive home. We don't know what he's like in a home but the preference is for a quiet and embracing home where the person is present a lot of the time.

This picture should shock everyone and the story behind it even more.
The lens didn’t just capture one moment in this poor dog’s life. He is in a cage 24/7. Withdrawn into himself, he is scared to death!!! He is totally alone in the corner of a concrete cage.
This miserable puppy is only six months old. He was sick with parvovirus but recovered.
Despite this, he is unable to leave his cage for the municipal shelter’s courtyard – to be exposed to the outdoors, to people and other dogs - because of the fear that he will get sick again as his immune system is still fragile.
This is how he looks and precisely how he feels. This is not one moment but his whole life. Continuous suffering. Incomprehensible stress and fear.
Until a month ago, his brother was with him but he found a home and this poor puppy remains alone in a cage. His heart is broken just as much as his gaze is 💔

I am pleading and begging. He needs to leave by the end of the week!! A home with no other animals. A patient home that will give him lots of hugs. Kind and compassionate people this is your time to step up!

Sadly, our Muki is returning to the municipal shelter today
Muki is the sweetest dog imaginable
A dog that is all heart with the purest gaze
Since he was three months old, he has been moving between foster homes for more than a year.
Each time he pins all his hopes on people who have only known him for a day… being prepared to give them his all! Each time he hopes that this time the foster won’t be for a fleeting period but I have no doubt that deep down he knows that this is temporary too.
We promised him and swore to ourselves that we won’t give up on him.
But enough is enough, this time Muki really needs a home of his own!
Our Muki is totally devoted and loves with all his heart.
The frequent moves have also exhausted him but he continues to be a good and loving dog.
We are looking for a calm home for him as he finds it difficult to accept new people.
It needs to be a home where he is the only dog. He is amazing with other dogs but in the home he fights for attention and this could lead to conflicts if there is another dog in the home. There is no doubt that he will be delighted to have a canine brother or sister as soon as he becomes confident enough.
He will look into your soul with an understanding gaze and will be so grateful for any chance for a new life.
He needs a person who will envelop him with affection, hug him and promise him forever! In return, he will give you his whole heart
Muki is house-trained and medium-sized (approximately 25 kilos), neutered and vaccinated.

12 year old dog in kennels in the south desperately needs a foster or adoptive home. He is terrified by the rockets and the sirens. He weighs 20 kilos and gets on with everyone. He doesn’t deserve to be in kennels at his age but needs a loving home.

Only a little more time, our sweet dog and you will find a home.
Muki is the sweetest soul ever and all heart ... with the purest glance ever.
For a whole year from the age of three months, Muki has moved from foster to foster, pinning all his hopes time after time on people who have only known him for one day ..being prepared to give them everything! Clutching each time at each new foster but I have no doubt that deep down he knows that this foster is also temporary. We promised him and swore to ourselves that we won't give up and it is painful and so draining to see him wandering from one show of kindness to the next, each one only for a few days and once again he is looking for a new place.
Enough is enough! This time Muki needs a home of his own!!!

There are so many dogs such as Tor, Sean and Tikva who went to foster homes and sadly returned to the shelter.
There are also approximately another 90 dogs (puppies and adult dogs) who are just waiting for you to give them a chance to leave the wretched municipal shelter.

Hello everyone!

Please meet Tyson! He's an adorable, 10-year-old pitbull. He is already neutered and house trained. Tyson is actually one of the sweetest dogs I know. Very loving and very chill mostly just likes to hang around and get pet. But you can get him to play if you want to (just not all the time as he is on the older side). Tysons owner unfortunately was forced to move back to the United States and was unable to bring him with. I am trying to help him find a good home for Tyson before Rosh Hashanah so please if you or anyone you know could provide a loving home and take in this truly great dog please contact me! 058-662-4959

Jerusalem Loves Animals is on the verge of collapse. Please help if you can.

To all the animal lovers and people who care,

I am approaching you with a heartfelt plea. My name is Hedva and I am the manager and founder of the Jerusalem Loves Animals NGO.

The NGO was established in 2010 amidst the backdrop of the terrible situation for animals in Jerusalem and the periphery. The establishment of the NGO opened the gates of the veterinary service's municipal shelter and enabled the saving and adoption of the animals brought to the municipal veterinary service.

I am not exaggerating in saying that since we were founded we have saved close to 15,000 animals - dogs, cats, donkeys, chickens and others. These animals would have been euthanised prior to the founding of the NGO.

We are currently at a crossroads.

As a result of the paucity of adoption and donations, putting dogs in private kennels (in order to prevent them being euthanised as a result of overcrowding in the Jerusalem municipal shelter) and complex veterinary treatments, we are on the verge of collapse.

We have reached the point where our financial reserves have been depleted and we used our last shekel to pay the private kennels and veterinary clinic. Without assistance, we will be forced to close the NGO.

Approximately 22 dogs who are currently in private kennels will be forced to leave (it is unclear where they will go). I am turning to anyone that may care. We are not an NGO that solicits donations.

We rarely request donations but we have hit rock bottom.

Please help us keep our head above water. Help us to not give up.

Please donate if you can. share this post, foster dogs and cats and above all adopt. The photos below show some of the dogs in the private kennels who won't have a roof over their heads without your urgent help.

Bailey was saved from death two days ago and we managed to find her a foster home for a limited time that is going to come to an end this week.
According to the details provided by her current foster, “she is a real sweetheart”.

She can’t return to the municipal shelter where death is hanging over her. She needs a loving and warm forever home!

Bailey doesn’t have any luck!
This is an unexplained mystery – we can’t work out why she still doesn’t have her own home.
Bailey is a year old. She has been moving between foster homes for months and will soon return to the municipal shelter!!
Every fosterer tells us what an amazing dog Bailey is. She gets on really well with other dogs and was even in two homes with cats! She has been in a home with toddlers, with a young student and with other people and got on and integrated amazingly with everyone.

Bailey is house-trained and knows how to stay alone at home. Of course it is important to take into consideration that like every dog, she needs a period of integration into a new home. She is simply amazing and also a real beauty!
A month ago she was adopted but was sadly returned to the municipal shelter after two days - another home that sounded amazing, met her beforehand, took her from a stable foster home and regretted it a few days later.

Bailey deserves her own home! She is a wonderful dog that is currently wasting the best period of her life. Help us find Bailey a home. Give her a chance ❤
