Reminder that daycare is closed today due to the concrete being poured out front! I don't think the city would be happy if we put paw prints all over the sidewalk (though we think it's a fun idea!)

K9 School of Walk - Getting Started

Walking a well-behaved dog is an absolute pleasure. The exercise, stimulation, fresh air, bonding, and relaxation are extremely beneficial to both of you. All of this goes away, however, when your dog has no leash manners.

My goal is to help bring back the joy in your walks by teaching your pup what we really expect from him. I take a balanced approach to training and use a reward-based (positive reinforcement) method with correction for unwanted behavior.

Your dog’s leash etiquette should include calmly walking next to you. I will work on issues with pulling, excitement, excessive sniffing (street treats anyone? Ruff!) and inattention. I will show your dog that the walk is not only a potty break but can be an enjoyable experience for both of you.
