These are the last 4 kittens needing forever homes from the Jones Falls colony. All these babies were born in care this spring and are now ready to be chosen. Our adoption application can be found at villagecats.com - all babies are spay/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Congratulations to Eddie! She’s checking herself out to see how a forever home suits her 🤍🖤🧡 So far is going well and we know it won’t be long before she’s best friends with her new sister Maisie.
Thanks to Global Pet Foods Kingston East for helping us find homes for the Blue Bloods. That’s 2 so far!
We still have kittens at Global Pet Foods Kingston East! Stop by and see them - they’re super cute and ready to be loved. There are adoption applications at the store or you can find them at villagecats.com
Erin and Eddie are adopted but Baker and Frank are hoping to find their forever homes 🩷
Jables and Kage - they’ve come SO far from being two tiny injured babies found abandoned by the roadside. They are absolute sweethearts. They’re pretty much perfect little gentlemen, sweet, silly and playful. They’re ready for their forever home and hope to be chosen soon! These brothers are bonded and will stay together, best friends forever.
They’re both neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. For both kittens, the adoption fee is $350 and our application can be found at villagecats.com
Congratulations to our little Blue Blood, Erin! Today she went to her forever home! Thanks to Global Pet Foods Kingston East for hosting our kittens and making this possible 🩷🩷
Stop by to see some of our other kittens available for adoption!
Devon’s glow up from sick baby with giant ears to healthy teenager with better-fitting ears. What a ride he’s had! It’s so good to see him and Finch both feeling so happy and healthy. Devon will be ready for his forever home in about 2 weeks. He’s had his neuter and just needs one more vaccine and then he’ll be ready to go. He’s a sweet, handsome boy with the coolest spotted tabby pattern.
Update - Cat has been found.
Missing in Seeley’s Bay - Georgie - one year old female domestic shorthair brown tabby with orange. Last seen in the Seeley’s Bay plaza parking lot.
Please call owner at 226-228-6109 or Seeley’s Bay Animal Hospital with any information at 613-387-3218 🧡
Ok we all know Rudy is quirky and fun and full of personality, but this latest batch of photos has me wondering about his past.
If Burt Reynolds has come back as a cat, he is currently in the care of LFCP.
Would you love to have Burt Reynolds…er, Rudy as your new best friend?
He’s 2 years old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $175 and he is ready to be loved and snuggled and to make you laugh with his silly antics 🧡
A little morning kitten zen for you. See how sweet these baby Blue Bloods are? You can meet four of them at Global Pet Foods Kingston East. All 8 are ready for their forever homes!

Thanks so much to Carla and staff for taking care of our babies 💙💙💙💙
Sometimes things happen so fast and it’s all because of teamwork, partnerships and the compassion of someone who refuses to look the other way.
A caring young lady and her mom found this poor girl in terrible shape and scooped her up with the intention of getting her the help she needs. Through our foster mama Beth, we were able to get this senior girl into the care of Love of Ferals. Beth held her overnight and gave her food, water, safety and love. This morning we met Heather of Love of Ferals at their vet for an exam. Here are the details so far:
Granny Boots is a senior girl who is so emaciated she’s barely over 4 lbs. She has a nasty ear tumour that appears to be fully external, but that will be confirmed once it’s removed. Her jaw is quite crooked, indicating a possible previous break. She’s not microchipped which isn’t really a surprise.
How does a friendly but sick senior cat get to be outside and all alone with no one to care for her? 🤷🏼♀️ A big part of cat rescue is trying not to think the worst of people, but it’s not easy.
Many thanks to Love of Ferals for taking this girl on. We just don’t have the room right now, but we’re happy to be part of the process. If you’d like to support Granny Boots, you can send donations to [email protected]
Hopefully she’ll do well with surgery and be able to live out the rest of her days being loved in the way she deserves. 🖤🤍🖤
Big update:
Remember Coffee from the Bailey’s Irish Cream kittens? All four babies were transferred to Action Volunteers For Animals to give them the best chance at finding forever homes. Three babies found homes right away, but Coffee became unwell and was removed from the pet store and put into AVA’s foster care. He improved slightly with some medication, but soon it became obvious that something more was going on. Thanks to his caring and attentive foster mom, Coffee was given an exam and was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis).
This illness has previously been considered fatal but a treatment is now more readily available which means many of the cats afflicted with this virus may survive. The treatment is VERY long and VERY expensive but AVA did not hesitate to start Coffee on the medication. In fact, he’s already playing and feeling more like himself. We’re so grateful to AVA and their amazing foster home for saving our baby boy.
LFCP will be supporting Coffee with a donation to AVA to help cover treatment costs. We’re able to do this because of the donations we’ve received and the fundraising you’ve supported in the past. Many thanks to our supporters for making this possible 🖤

Happy National Cat Day! What beautiful babies are you appreciating today? Mary, Devon and Finch wish cats everywhere a happy day!

Many thanks to Colin D Chisamore and the Brockville Ontario Speedway for giving LFCP the opportunity to do some fundraising and promotion to their fans and participants. The lovely BOS crowd donated $165 to our cause!! We hope that people who didn’t know about us before are now aware of our group as a place to look for their next furbaby.
Thanks also to Emma for her support and help and to Colin’s teammate Clay for being under the stands with his car during the initial promo and for putting our logo on his car. His cat’s name is Richard - how cool is that?
I really want to say as well that this was my first time ever being at any car race event and it was really fun! But what I noticed most were the kindnesses I saw. Warmth and support between fans and drivers, among drivers of all types and levels and their teams and the genuine way they wish each other well. And then there was the reception we received as people dropped money in our jar, cooed over our kittens and told stories about their cats. A group of kids even scoured the grounds for lost change to put in the jar!
Thanks again to BOS for allowing us to be there and to the announcers for giving a few plugs between races.
There’s our guy! And the announcer just promoted LFCP! Thanks Brockville Ontario Speedway!
It’s so cool to partner with Colin Chisamore to promote cat adoption 😻 at the BOS
Here we are at the Brockville Ontario Speedway promoting LFCP! So many thanks to Colin aka Chizzy and Emma for this opportunity 🩷
Our friends at Gananoque & District Humane Society took in the beautiful boy Goodberry who was coming to the LFCP feeder earlier this summer and he’s now ready for adoption. Here’s his listing!
Meet Goodberry, a charming feline resident of our shelter. His demeanour is as sweet as his name suggests, always ready to share a gentle purr or a friendly nuzzle. He is the epitome of an independent cat, perfectly content to entertain himself, but equally happy to keep you company. Goodberry's gen...
A little Jables & Kage fun!
LOST at main dock of Charleston Lake in Charleston Village near Lakeline Lodge. Owner contact info in screen shot of original post.
At The Space Between foster home, the kittens had a lesson about dogs. Here they are meeting a previously unencountered mammal species, which was very interesting and weird, but overall pretty ok! Thanks to Bagousse for helping 🧡

A little update on Finch and Devon…They’re doing really well! We’re still figuring out some issues with poop consistency, but they’re both gaining weight, eating well and are very happy and energetic. It’s hard to see but at 12 seconds, Finch does the most adorable hop at me and then runs off. She did it a couple times tonight so I guess it’s kind of a ‘thing’. I’ll have to try to get a better video of it. But trust me - adorable! Devon is as sweet as ever with his piercing gaze and beautiful eyes. He’s a very good boy and is confident but also very well-mannered.
Important video!!! We need everyone to know that the Blue Bloods krew all love to play this mouse game and that they are ridiculously adorable when they do it. It’s often hard to get a kitten to play a video game, but these guys all love to chase the mouse on this app. Look how much they get into it hahaha - very intense!
A little update on Mary. We’re really proud of how far she’s come. Whenever we work on something new, she’s willing to try it and then when she gets uncomfortable, we try to back off. I wish I could just make her understand that she really is safe…even when I scratch under her chin (the location of her murder button).
I meant to add this video to the update on Jables and Kage this morning. I guess I missed it! Here’s your afternoon kitten Zen moment ❤️🎸❤️
It was suggested that this video had ‘viral potential’ so I turned it into a TikTok. Who am I to deprive the larger population of adorableness? It would be unfair to keep it in the confines of the LFCP Facebook/IG world 😀
Big purrs from Kage this evening ❤️🎸❤️ The boys are doing well and the swelling in Jables’ extra bad foot seems to have improved 🤞🏻 Hoping we keep on this path of healing.
Jables and Kage are waiting in line at the emergency clinic today so a doctor can have a look at their injuries, especially Jables’ swollen foot. There are many sick pets coming to emerg today ☹️ The vet tech did come out and say the kittens look good, and Jables’ one wound should heal ok, but the other could be an issue and he may need an x-ray. He’s not using his legs as well as he was yesterday. I’m sure they’re uncomfortable for him. Both boys are eating and drinking well though. We’re not sure about doing potty in this litter box I keep sticking under them but eventually I think someone is going to have to pee. 🤷🏼♀️ I will put photos of their injuries in the comments.
Morning with the baby boys 🩷 Devon doing a great job with his breakfast while Finch is his usual incredibly sweet self.
I haven’t been sharing with you a situation we’ve been dealing with for the past week. Shortly after we joined Finch and Devon, Devon started having diarrhea, no appetite and weight loss. We believe that all the changes he experienced in a short period of time (weaning, new foster home, new friend, deworming and some different wet food) created just enough stress that a possible underlying subclinical issue became a clinical problem. I’m happy to report that Devon has gotten his appetite back and today gave me the best gift a kitten can give - an almost completely formed stool. (Yes I did take a photo and share it with a few people.) Finch has had a hard time understanding why Devon isn’t up for playing, but despite the confusing relationship they’ve had this past week, they found this moment to rest together and hold each other’s paws 🐾 Devon and Finch are both being treated for a suspected parasite and it seems to be helping. I’ll update more on how it’s going.
Here’s a video from the rescue Puppy Kitty New York City showing just one of the effects of declawing a cat. This boy was adopted from the rescue and declawed by his new family and then returned due to behavioural issues….issues caused by chronic pain because of his amputations. Some vets are still performing this surgery in Ontario.
Meet Mr. Goodberry. He’s showed up in Lyndhurst, intact, friendly, not microchipped. He’s very sweet. How did he get here? 🤔 His face and head are scarred, likely by fighting and ticks, he comes hungry each morning and eats a whole can of wet food and then a little kibble. Like most cats, he’s not afraid of our dog, and the dog has deemed him ‘uninteresting’ which I think was the trigger for him to finally come right to me. He’s on a waitlist for a spot at GDHS and then onto a forever home, but for now he’s been dewormed, flea treated and I’ve offered a cat bed in case he wants to try it. His name, Goodberry, is a DnD reference - a spell that provides a player with a day’s worth of nutrition. Fitting for a hungry boy. June is strawberry month with the strawberry moon on the way. Fitting for a boy this sweet.
Baby Finch is at LFCP HQ for a few days for babysitting. He’s getting better at eating as he matures. The litter box makes sense for pee, but for some reason, 💩 does not belong there. It belongs near it though, so that’s something. He’s really a sweet little snuggler and last night he fell asleep on me which is the best thing ever 🩶 I forgot that having a tiny baby means that I also smell like meat and formula all the time.
I want to tell you about Kuro. Kuro and his sister Fibi are our kittens who are currently at Pet Valu Gananoque. The other day the (awesome) staff at Pet Valu noticed something wasn’t quite right with Kuro and let us know. We brought him back to LFCP HQ for the night to collect a urine sample and have it tested by our vet. The result was that our sweet boy has urinary crystals. While this is easily treatable with a special food from the vet, it does mean that he has to be on this food for the rest of his life. Being prone to forming urinary crystals is quite common in cats and if not prevented, can cause serious problems like urinary blockages. One positive part is that the diet is actually a great maintenance diet and Fibi can also be on it if their future forever home chooses to free feed - it would be good for her urinary health as well. The not so positive part is that these two kittens now have to find a forever home that is willing and able to provide this special diet. We have homed four other cats with this issue (like I said, it’s common), but at a time when adoptions are down and black cats aren’t the favourite, it feels like these babies are in an even tougher spot. I hope that this video gives a little glimpse into how sweet and pleasant these kittens are. They’re both eager to snuggle and both purr easily. They’re sweet and playful and so very deserving of a home. I’m so glad that they came to us and that this problem didn’t develop for Kuro living a life outside where he would have no help. Adopting a pair like this is truly a gift given and received. They will give so much love to whoever chooses to love them back. Please share to help them get some exposure and please stop by to see them at Pet Valu. 🖤🖤 PS - we will send them home with some of the special food when they’re adopted
Our little grey bird Finch uses her whole body to eat her meals. She’s really into food. Like, literally.🩶🐦🩶
Welcome baby girl Finch 🩶 This tiny kitten was found outside alone chirping like a little bird. A colony of feral cats where we have been supporting TNR efforts unexpectedly produced this little one today. The people are on the lookout for more babies. Little Finch is all safe and cozy at Beth’s Better Beginnings Foster Home 🩶
