*Update on Oscar*
Oscar is a goldie cross who was found on the street with seizures and was barely able to stand up.
It has taken us months and months to get his bloods up, get him neutered and healthy. He still has the occasional seizure, but it is controlled with daily medication.
Oscar is a great doggo, good with people and with other dogs. When we first rescued him, he was hospitalised and spent his time wailing and crying. We realised that he is the kind of dog who loves being around people and unsuited to living in the hospital. For this reasons Oscar was boarded in a place with a family to keep him emotionally stable and happy. And it worked! He is now a happy, well-adjusted boy and looking for a forever home.
As we continue our animal welfare work in Sri Lanka - we need to start seeing animals as individuals with their own likes and needs. We recognise that it is a privilege to be able to help these animals and that our usual procedures may not suit every animal, so where possible we try to listen to them and help their minds as much as we heal their bodies.
We are learning as we go but determined to do better with each rescue. We thank you for helping us help dogs like Oscar 💚 its just one dog, but it's made a world of difference to him 😀💚💛
