I need everyone to reply to this message confirming your appointment please.

Please note I also have a 24 hour cancellation policy where a fee of 50% of your groom quote is payable if you cancel within 24 hours as it is harder to fill an appointment this close.
Failure to pay this fee will result in not being able to use our services.

Had the beautiful little Pebbles in for her first deshed this week.
Did you know that Puppies greatly benefit from being exposed to the grooming process?
As long as a Puppy has had their vaccinations, they are more then welcome to come in for an appointment, even if it is just for a quick bath and brush or even just to have a brush and hang out for half an hour.

If you have a young puppy, contact us today to discuss the benefits of introducing grooming to them at a young age. 😀

I would like to introduce the newest member to our family.
Emily Rae.
We are both doing well and she has fit in perfectly with our family. Noah, Aaliyah and Eski all love their new little sister.

I would like to thank everyone for the well wishes and understanding with the complications I had during my pregnancy with her.

I will be back grooming from September.

*Important Notice*

Just a gentle reminder to everyone that I will be finishing up Mid December (16th is my last working day) before I go on Maternity leave.

I will be taking time off from December until September at this stage to spend time with our newest family member as we adjust to a family of 5.

I will keep everyone updated on this page regarding my return and days of work once it gets closer.
I will remain closed to new clients until 2025 at this stage.

*Policy surrounding sick dogs*

Just a reminder to everyone, if your dog is showing signs of illness DO NOT bring them to your appointment. Message or call me and let me know your dog is unwell and we can reschedule.
I often have multiple dogs at 1 time and I cannot have sick dogs here for obvious reasons.
If you show up to your appointment with a sick dog, you WILL be refused and asked to leave until a vet clearance has been sought.
IF you come and fail to disclose your dog is sick, you WILL NOT be welcomed back.
All dogs are required to be fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming.
These policies are for the safety of Everyone's dogs.

In memory of Rumi, our name sake.

Today I said my goodbyes to my best friend after a long battle with his health. Unfortunately we received the devastating news earlier this week that his illness was no longer treatable and we made the heartbreaking decision to let him run free.

He is my heart dog, my soul dog and always will be. He is the reason for working in the animal industry and has been there every step of my adult life.

I will be out of touch for a couple of days to allow myself and my family to grieve the loss of our beautiful boy.

I will get back to everyone on Monday.

**Announcement**

We will be welcoming a new little addition in January. 👶

I will be working up until mid December when I would usually close for the holidays.
My days/times will be limited and as I get further along, I may have to limit large dogs as well. (This will be case by case depending on dogs behaviour and strength).

I am currently unsure how long I'll be on maternity leave for but will update everyone once we get a bit closer. (I will be off for at least 6 months)

Due to this exciting time in our lives, I will not be taking on new clients until I return from Maternity leave.

Also a quick note to please be patient with me during this time as I do get quiet sick during pregnancy and may need to reschedule on short notice.

SNAKE BITES - KNOW THE SIGNS 🐍

The weather is going to be a scorcher today. Snakes will be active in the early morning and evening so please be alert.

A timely reminder to know the signs of snakebites:

Symptoms of a snake bite can be one or a combination of the following:
Vomiting, collapse, seizures, diarrhoea, increased salivation, dilated pupils, trouble breathing, blood in urine, bleeding and lethargy.
Occasionally, 30 mintues or so after a bite dogs can have a "false recovery" where they appear normal after showing the previously listed symptoms. However, they will rapidly become critical minutes after.
Depending on the snake species, symptoms can take several hours post envenomation to show.

Symptoms vary due to a range of factors such as the snake species, location of bite and amount of venom injected.

IF YOU THINK YOUR PET HAS BEEN BITTEN BY A SNAKE, SEEK VETERINARY ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.

Enrolling your dogs into our snake safety training could save their life ❤

Hello,

As the busy season approaches, I would just like to remind people to be kind and respectful. I have had some disrespectful behaviour shown towards me recently and I WILL NOT tolerate this. Anyone displaying disrespectful or aggressive behaviour will result in cancellation of our services.

A few other key policies I would like to go over are the following:

- Reminder/confirmation messages. I do these as a courtesy to you, please do the same by RESPONDING. I am only after a simple Yes or No. You MUST respond to confirm/cancel by 6pm the night prior to your appointment to avoid your appointment being Cancelled or incurring a 50% fee of your groom cost. It is no different to other services such as Drs, Vets, Hairdressers etc.

- Drop off/pick up. You MUST be on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, you will be marked off as a NO SHOW and a fee of 100% of your grooming cost will apply. You MUST pick your dog up within 20 minutes of me contacting you at the completion of the groom. If you need more then this amount of time, I can give you a heads-up message. If you are more then 20 minutes late to pick up your dog, a fee of $15 per every 10 minutes will be added onto your groom.

- IF YOUR DOG IS SICK, stay home and do not come. YOU WILL BE REFUSED. Let me know they are unwell, and we can rearrange something. No one likes having sick animals, so don’t be selfish and show up as we sometimes have multiple dogs at a time.

I am a reasonable person, but I have been having more issues lately and unfortunately, I am having to become stricter and implement the fees as it is not only wasting my time but also taking away my income.

After being off sick all week I wasn't sure if I'd make it but I did!

Mastergroom Australia 2022!

Was absolutely amazing!
I met so many lovely people, learnt heaps of new tips and tricks that I cannot wait to practice and use on all your lovely dogs, got to watch some amazing groomers in the competitions and go to seminars run by some amazing grooming influencers from around the world (and meet them!)
Cannot wait to go back next year and compete alongside other amazing groomers.
(I was so busy watching and taking in as much as I could that I forgot to take photos 🙈)
I did get lots of Goodies, so stay tuned for a little give away that will happen soon 😉
