* Reading your dog's body language is important because it helps you understand how they’re feeling and what they might be trying to communicate. 🥰 Dogs can't speak in human language, so their body language—such as tail position, ear orientation, facial expressions, and posture—gives vital clues about their emotions and intentions. ❤️

🐶*Debating On Microchipping Your Pet?*🐶

It’s every pet owner’s worst nightmare: your pet is lost, and you aren’t sure how to go about finding them. 🥺

• Microchipping your pet is a simple, life-saving measure that helps reunite lost pets with their owners. It is a permanent form of identification to ensure your furry friend can always find their way back home! ❤️

So How Does It Work? 🤔

• A microchip is a small, rice-sized device implanted under a dog’s skin, usually between the shoulder blades. It contains a unique identification number that is registered in a national database along with your contact information. If your dog gets lost and is found, a veterinarian or animal shelter can scan the microchip, retrieve the ID number, and contact you to reunite you with your pet! ☺️

If your pet isn’t chipped, consider getting the simple procedure done at your next vet exam! It can save you and your furry friend from added stress! 🥰

Ian is living his best life with his forever family! 🥰

“Ian is called “Bean” by his family and is sooo loved. He goes to work with me many days and most of my clients pet him and give him treats. We have a sprinter van that has been dubbed the world’s most expensive dog house. He goes to every band show.

We are playing this evening for NYE then spending some time in Florida at a place we bought in the spring. Of course, we had to have the fenced yard for our guy! He loves his TN life but loves the warm Fl weather too!

We are beyond in love with Ian! Thank you for getting our angel to us. After losing our Koda Bear in July, Ian is pretty much smothered with attention! 🤣 He seems to handle the cuddle time well.”

• Learning your dog’s schedule can be very helpful in preventing accidents and certain behaviors! Once you have a set schedule, it will provide structure and stability, which will reduce not only your stress and anxiety but also your pup’s! 🐶

Max recently celebrated his Gotcha Day with his forever family! 🥰

“Greetings from central New York! We celebrated Max's gotcha date recently and can't believe it's been one year already. He's acclimated so well to his new home and has many human and pup friends throughout the neighborhood. Max's favorite thing to do is play catch in the backyard and also enjoys walks at our park. He's hiked three Adirondack mountains so far and discovered that he loves running into the lake (especially to retrieve his ball lol)!! He was curious, though a bit apprehensive, with our first snowfall but very quickly learned how much fun it is to play in that white stuff! Max is such a good boy and wants to be friends with everyone he meets. Thank you Agape for connecting us together. It's been such a wonderful year and we look forward to many more years of adventures! :)”

❤️*THANK YOU TO MY SECOND HOME PET RESORT*❤️ My Second Home Pet Resort

Agape Animal Rescue’s partnership with My Second Home spans over a decade. What began in 2014 as a generous offer to help Agape and its adoptable dogs by providing occasional boarding in times of need has blossomed into a relationship that both helps our dogs find their forever homes and impacts the community in positive ways.

Agape could not have made the impact it's made over the years without MSH! They’ve always been willing to help our rescue dogs … because they CARE. The staff is compassionate, attentive, and sensitive to the needs of our rescues, even the ones who need a little extra TLC. Whether for an overnight stay, a weekend, a vacation, a stay between foster parents, or an emergency evacuation due to a natural disaster, the MSH staff have become entrusted partners. To our dogs, who are given special love and attention, MSH is much more than doggie day care. Judging by the way our dogs run into the lobby, exuberant with the staff, even for a return stay, they show us MSH lives up to its name - it really is a "second home” to them, which makes Agape appreciate MSH even more!

Countless Agape dogs have been helped over the last 10+ years by MSH. One thing we can always count on is the facility’s unwavering commitment to provide help whenever we ask for it, even hosting a puppy meet and greet in-house when we needed a last-minute location. Our relationship has always been based on helping the dogs, and we truly value that philosophy! ❤️

Sweet Luna just got to celebrate her second Christmas with her forever family! ❤️

Georgina wrote, “We are gearing up for Luna’s second Christmas with our family. She is the absolute best doggo anyone could ask for. She loves to snuggle, throw her bones around the house, race our soccer players with her zoomies, and loves treats. Her ears are my absolute favorite. She doesn’t understand personal space, but we gladly embrace her sitting on top of us. We’re not sure what her life was like before, but she has found her furever home with us. This sweet girl, Betty White, was adopted back in 2018 by the Blakes! 🐶

Liz and Kelly wrote, “Time for Betty White’s yearly update. 🤍 She has had quite the year! In March, she had surgery to remove her spleen. There was a mass the size of a golf ball on it! We are so thankful for our wonderful vet, he truly saved her life!

She is spunkier than ever and was running like a greyhound yesterday! 😂 She continues to travel to the beach and Phoenix with us…she’s a great little traveler!

Many thanks to Agape for bringing this sweet puppy into our lives! PS: I did an age test on her thru Embarkvet, and it showed she is 13 1/2 years old! I don’t think she looks a day over ten! 😂”

* Maple recently got to leave the boarding facility to enjoy a two-week Christmas break with her former foster family! 🥰 They are excited to share Christmas with her, already have a stocking for her, and even introduced her to Santa! (Pictured) Afterward, her temp foster mom said, “She made the nice list… now she’s waiting 🤶🏻🐾.”

* Big thanks to Maple’s boarding facility team for packing up her things for her Christmas vacay and sending her off with lots of love and hugs, and to the transport team for taking her to meet foster dad. 🤍 Maple has already enjoyed lots of snuggling and sunbathing—things Maple LOVES! 💗

Brandie wrote, “Guess who loves to get rubs from Trevor. By this point he was ready to get up but he has came a long way with Trevor! Just wanted to say thank you again for Dash! He is the best dog and we love him so much! Hope you have a great holiday!

Dash has been a blessing to us. I never knew how much joy he would bring to us!

Trevor gives him his treats which I think has really helped. He also buys him a gift each Christmas! He told me “mom when sissy goes to college, I’m all he has, so he has to like me”! 🥰 He is a special boy with a big heart!! 4 years have flown by!”
