Rufus! He’s a perfect pup-a-lescent. Straddling that 6 month age marker where you’re still a puppy in some ways definitely moving into that adolescence territory on the quick. He and I discussed him harnessing his strength and exuberance for life a bit and turns out he’s open to it! Haha Welcome to the Tails in the Wind fam lil Rufus we’re excited to have ya.

Bozz! 😍 I wish I had a pic of this guy when I first met him a few years ago but he wouldn’t let me do that had I tried! Bozz had some fairly intense “stranger danger” feelings and did not appreciate people in his house, near him and his family, and definitely not anybody (in his opinion) acting unusual. Thankfully with some time and patience on his peoples end and some good treats for his hard work Bozz opened up his world bit by bit. Now his days are filled with a lot more wags and a lot less barks.

Sweet little Francis! This guy has had quite the life and has some big feelings because of it. And he just moved across the country! As he’s getting acclimated to his new home and city we’re working on opening him up and chipping away at some of his fear based reactions. I can’t wait to see this little nugget blossom to his full potential.

Don’t let Lola’s serious face fool you. She is serious about saying hi right now and treats and is otherwise a serious goofball! She is jam packed with youthful exuberance. Sometimes it’s ok to slow down a bit ya know? Stay tuned for Lola’s zen guide.

Maya here unfortunately had a bad run in with another dog earlier this year. And has since understandably been exhibiting some stress and fear on her walks. While this incident doesn’t define her, it does inform her. The world can be a scary place! But we’re slowly building her confidence back up and moving forward. We’re rooting for you Maya!

These two! A dynamic duo if I’ve ever seen one. Gilly & Oliver moved earlier this year and have enthusiastically joined the unofficial dog only neighborhood watch in their area. Needless to say their human family members aren’t super into the amount of barking these new positions include. Together we’re working to observe their environment with more thoughtful responses and to find other amusing activities to include in their day to day.

It’s Winnie’s world 🌎 and we’re all just living in it. Winnie is full of personality and so much fun to work with. While in the midst of adolescence and a recent move she and her people were having trouble communicating to each other. Not being able to express yourself is really frustrating! We’re working together on clearing up those communication gaps and helping her deal with her inner teenaged turmoil. Excited to see where this journey takes us!

Happy birthday Pagoda! (aka the logo) Our favorite little dirtbag/referee/head of security. She gave me the last little nudge I needed to really dive into dog training. And without her there would be no Tails in the Wind. So here’s to Godie! Thanks for being my best buddy.
