What an absolute belter of a day and night! Lovely to see my darling friends finally tie the knot 🪢 and in the company of some very special people (if you know you know). These guys started life as friends through a joint passion in dogs but now it goes way deeper than that and I’m sure it’s a friendship that will stand the test of time ❤️ love you all xx

Duchess is looking for her forever sofa 🛋️ to retire on.

She is a very independent lady so Ideal if you work all day as this girl really doesn’t care.

Does not chew furniture ect…

Has a bladder of steel 🙌 and crate trained.

Good recall, good with dogs outside the home, great with people and children.

She is not to be bred from and must be the must be the only dog in house.

So UKBKC show on Saturday resulted in Irondog Bullies Zebadiah bagging another reserve best in show & collecting his champion certificate 🙌

Zeb no longer resides at Irondog Bullies HQ but that doesn't stop us being oh so very proud of his achievements.

After approx 3 years involved in the breed I purchased my first American Bully and for two year I visited kennels and shows asked numerous questions.

Many many hours went into my first breeding 😴.

I was very lucky to become friends with BBK and after hours of discussions with my friend/mentor we finally picked a suitable stud in BBK Keech.

This breeding is what produced Zeb and for any kennel to produce such a beautiful dog in their first ever litter after all those years of hard work & research we think he deserves to be shouted about.

Zeb also holds a special place in our hearts for other reasons.

Nick named "the bad penny" as he always bounced back to us from multiple homes (here at ID HQ we take ALL dogs back regardless of circumstances)

The last time he returned to us he had sever barrier frustration which I spent hours completing behaviour modification with him under the instruction of Peri Line Training. We got a handle on this and although work still needed to be done we tentatively searched for a new home for him.

He was lucky enough to find a permanent family with the mcgeachies , who have given him solidity and security he deserves , and no matter there words or thoughts on me , I sit at ease knowing I never have to worry about zeb care and up bringing.

Getting a dog to champion status is a joint venture between breeder, owner and handler & you are forever bound by this.

Irondog Bullies wish Zeb all the success in the world moving forward. We are routing for you 🏆.

What a lovely day at UKBKC yesterday.

The presentation of the newly crowned champions was a great touch and to hear your kennel name read out twice was a great achievement for Irondog bullies.

The majority of my day was helping other people out as best we could.

Tom Green has taken over guardianship of Drax and as a new partnership they smashed it!!
🥉and🥈 …… now the training begins and they will no doubt come back bigger and stronger.

Was so refreshing to work with someone who’s keen and passionate to get involved, when you meet people like that kindness really does hold no bounds 😊.

Wendy has been working lots behind the scenes and it certainly paid off with a 🥇with Dixie ….. unfortunately due to a mix up they missed the 2nd class but you wipe your mouth and move on. ABKC next!

Vinny went a in and did his thing 🤩 pulling out 2 x 🥇…. We are keen for him to reach the year mark so he can get in there with the big boys ❤️

Morph had his showing debut and came away with 🥈and 🥉. For his time out with limited training is was great results and the feedback from the judges was great and definitely shows he has hopes for the future.

Missile 2 x 🥇 and 2 x reserve best female ….. looking in great condition so soon after a big litter and all down to WBK.

Zeb not only got presented with his champion Certificate but also bagged another reserve best in show!! A big win for team classic and has the Irondog Bullies HQ beaming with pride!

If you want to help the American Bully breed survive this scrutiny we are under at the moment in the U.K. the best thing you can do is……

TRAIN YOUR DOG!!

A dog weighing upto 60kg plus dragging you around IS unsettling to members of the public… regardless of how friendly he is .

Fix your reactivity issues that 75% of the community are dealing with.

Teach him to be neutral around stimuli such as dogs and children.

Socialise him well!!!

Fore fill their needs ….. this differs dog to dog.

Everyone getting there knickers in a twist about a potential ban but training is the only way to change peoples perception on the breed. Your dog has to behave better than the golden retriever down the road because we are under the microscope.

Get to work people and hopefully it isn’t to late 🙏

THE DREAM MANY WON'T UNDERSTAND:

My dogs are my personal dream.

Someday, when I am very old and cannot walk anymore, it will be in my heart as a trophy of my memories.
Every time I spend time with my dogs, I think about how wonderful they are.
I stopped talking to those who don’t understand and learned to communicate with others who share the same mindset.
Because of my dogs I have met some amazing people from around the world who I now call family.
I've spent money I didn't have and given up on many things, but all those things aren't worth a single special moment with my dogs.
They are not just a pet or a thing I own, they are the lost part of my soul and spirit.
And when someone says to me, "it's just a dog"... I won't answer. I just shake my head and smile.
A dog..... only the person who loves him will understand.

As many of you already know I’ve dominated the classic class with Denver this last year and with my breedings I’ve really concentrated on getting the structure of the dogs as close to perfect as possible.

“You can’t build a house on poor foundations”

And while Denver isn’t perfect I think she’s close enough to add a little mass with the next generation but I by no means want that to take away the structure of the dogs……. This meant there was only one breeder to approach with the hopes of him having a suitable stud and that he would like my dogs enough to say yes 🫣.

Well we had some very special clients to visit and collect there bundle of joy from the Irondog camp!!

“Big Grey” was a very special pup to us for so many different reasons. So we were looking for an extra special pet home for him…… and boy did they show up.

This family melted our hearts in every possible way and they are definitely part of the Irondog family now.

Thank you Gemma & Shirley for making the long journey and we look forward to seeing his gorgeous face on the TV soon ❤️.

Last weekend me and Denver did the unthinkable for the American Bully and turned a paw to obedience.

We competed in 3 competitions over the weekend with the majority of the competitors being border collies 😯.

Well it's safe to say she smashed it and definitely changed some perspectives on the breed.... again!

From inception of this breeding intelligence was at the forefront and boy does it show.

I’ve finally recovered from the weekend in Ireland enough to do an appreciation post.

First of all me and Denver certainly arrived in style to this one…..that dog really does get where water couldn’t 🤣.

I had the pleasure of shadowing the Judges Ruben Silva & Mikel Katuin to further my knowledge and wow did they deliver!!!

Spent the entire day bouncing information and ideas from one another and the day was generally full of kindness from them all and the entire Bully Colosseum team

Thank you so much to all involved and for giving me a great opportunity to expand my knowledge (I think I’ve tagged everyone possible so far)

Oh and not forgetting my puppy sitter … you know who you are! And my early morning driver Steve Dodd aka daddy dearest.

I know she may bore a lot of you but wow this girl makes me smile on the daily and I just can’t help but post her.

The graft that’s gone into our partnership is immense and it shows.
