Figment just out here keeping himself entertained while his brother and sister chase each other on the floor. He thinks he’s real rough.
Life with Boo 🙄
This is why I’m selective on what females I keep back. I don’t need anymore cats like this.
Meanwhile Jack is making a whole fort on his side and pretending he’s a worm under all his blankets 🤦♀️
This is what a lot of the show day is like. Just hanging out waiting for rings.
I’m going to be honestly I haven’t been paying attention too much to rings today. Unfortunately a lot of Sundays judges couldn’t make it so we have a lot of the same judges from Saturday again today. And it’s great that they were able to step in, but when you need so many finals from so many different judges, it kinda doesn’t help out too much. Plus the Expo today is much more busy compared to to yesterday so we are doing a lot more chatting with visitors to talk about the breed and last minute running to rings instead.
I’ll try not to over post too much lol.
Another best of breed for Nightmagic Mr Mugatu.
2/15 down.
Another Hangry Ting Li Ting Jack cursing out the judge. Maybe I’ll get a nice video of him today.
Jack’s coat does have to come in though so I expected this of him.
Mr. Mugatu is a Yukki x Payton baby for anyone wondering. He wasn’t even pick of the litter 😭. The other boys in this litter would have been a better choice but I had them neutered before I even thought of keeping one back. This little boy was too small to be fixed when the others went in. And then they all just flourished.
First ring of the show. 14 more to go.
Jack is a little cranky. So I’ll spare you his cursing at the judge.
But Mr. Mugatu is getting the hang of it and took best of breed over the other 4 Devons.
Silly post, but I finally took a quick second to record it.
This is part of the reason I went with Nightmagic for my cattery name. I still lived at my parents house when I started with Somalis which are the “fox” breed. And the summer nights were always filled with hundreds of fireflies. And even one time I got lucky and saw the Northern Lights, although faint. The video unfortunately doesn’t even pick up most of them throughout the woods. And then to later welcome in the “pixie” breed, it seemed all the more fitting of a name.
Unfortunately from what I’m told, Alberta doesn’t get fireflies out there. But they do get the Northern Lights more frequently.
I don’t know how or why she got in there. But kudos for Socks taking this opportunity to harass her back. Boo has been on a rampage lately, it was overdue payback. But still, the door wasn’t opened enough for her to get out. I don’t even know how they opened them in the first place. Life with a Devon I tell ya. If I didn’t own Devons I would swear my house was haunted.
We are awake now and this is the help I’m getting with packing. 🙄
At least now his white paint is off his face. But this is the older blue boy who is still looking for a home.
Bless my Doberman’s breeder for breeding sound temperament into her dogs, because Sophie puts up with a lot more than most would.
I never have to worry about dirty ears in this house.
Boo (and Socks) is a Yukki x Payton baby. This is very typical for Yukkis kids to be all about the dogs. I believe we may have a solution that allows all the current kittens including Yukki’s latest litter to remain on the East Coast until they are ready for homes. First priority goes to returning Nightmagic Familes and referrals. Please reach out if you have a line / pairing preference. We are starting a unofficial waiting list. The waiting list at this time is just for people who already own a cat from us, or was told about our cattery from another breeder or someone who owns one of our cats. Any kitten unspoken for, we will process deposits and applications like we normally do.
Trying to get videos of the available babies. Why do they always have to find the odd ball spaces to fit in. Typical if I fits I sits cat attitude.
Making up kitten folders. If you see a random paw print on yours, just know it was personally signed by Yukki.
Day in the life with a Devon... steal all the pens.
I learned to clip said pen to the notebook. This was about the 5th drive by attempts to steal said pen. She would take a flying leap off the couch and out of nowhere appear again in a sneak attack like this one.
