Diary of a foster dog

Day 3 out of the shelter, and we've decided on names for the new fosters! On the left, we have Jester, 1 year old male, and on the right, we have Harley, 1 year old female.

If you need a buddy that looks at life with the glass half full mentality, adopt one of these dogs!

These two are so happy go lucky and always put a smile on my face.

This morning, it snowed and they absolutely LOVED it! Jester is a dog that will play with you, then wants to go into the warmth to snuggle and chill. Harley would love a full play day and could go as long as you want out sledding, snow ball fighting and building snow forts.

Rescue Dog Sponsorship!

Hi, I'm Nellie, and I'm the owner of the professional dog training business Legend K9 Retreat!

My team and I are extremely passionate about dogs, especially the ones that need a second change.

Because of that, the last 2 years, we've done quite a bit of Pro Bono cases where we would pull a shelter dog in need, train and rehabilitate, and find the dog a loving and forever home. Each of these cases costs us approximately $2200-$5000 in training fees, vetting, boarding, food, etc.

Unfortunately, this past year has been rough on our company, and we've chopped it down to this - we offered too many pro bono cases. We've concluded that we have 2 options. 1. Stop taking in rescue dogs, or 2. Seek out sponsorships. We're attempting the latter.

How it works:
Each month, our team will pick a different shelter, evaluate, and choose 1-2 dogs (depending on sponsorship amount)

We can then pull the dogs and enroll them into our advanced training board and train program. (includes learning calm/impulse control, sit, down, come, place, stay, leash work, door manners, not jumping, digging, mouthing, getting in trash/on counters, chewing, barking, Kennel training, proper socialization, and any needed rehabilitation with dog/cat/animal/people fear or aggression, resource guarding and/or separation anxiety)

We are a small, home based dog training company with 3 trainers. Dogs live in the home with the trainer, so they won't just be moved to another kennel like environment.

**Here's the fun part, we will document the dog's progress(pictures/videos/posts), and sponsors will have the choice to be anonymous or recognized in every update.

So if you're a business owner, or just want to make a difference, this could be a great opportunity for you to make a difference in the life of an amazing and sweet dog that needs a second chance.

As our goal would be to hit that $2200-$5000 per dog, we recognize that may not be possible and can commit to pull a dog once $500 is received.

Dogs are able to have multiple sponsors

All donations will go towards these rescue/shelter dogs and into finding them a forever home.
