I received a message that STL (Save The Life) microchip registry has closed and can no longer track the microchips registered only with them.
Revival Animal Health is offering free registration on the Buddy ID Registry system until Feb 28th.

Another great ACFA cat show in Janesville, WI.
This was Brighu's first show in Alter Class and she made the Top 10 All Breed finals in 4 out of 8 rings!! Brighu is such a beautiful Highlander! I am so proud of her!!

ACFA GRAND CHAMPION
I am so PROUD of this handsome Highlander!
Guinness earned Grand Champion in the minimum amount of show rings!!! To earn Grand Champion, the cat must compete in at least 16 show rings AND make the Top 10 finals with 6 different judges. Guinness has completed 16 rings in 2 shows and received 6 finals today, including Best Champion Short Hair Adult Cat in the specialty ring!! Thank you to Judge Murlene for giving the brief explanationof the Highlander Breed for the spectators. And a special Thank you to Specialty Judge Mike Carbeno, for awarding Guinness his 6th final for Grand Champion!!And Thank you to all the judges for awarding Guinness today!!

Miss Baylee is a 4 year old spayed female Highlander from my cattery that has become available for adoption. Her family had a very sudden and unexpected change in size as they happily welcome 3 small children into the family. Unfortunately, Baylee is not handling this sudden change very well. The family is very sad that all their efforts and help from their vet has not helped reduce Baylee's anxiety since this sudden change in Sept with the new chaotic household. Even though they Love her so much, they also realize that Baylee deserves to be happy. Their vet said that Baylee is clinically healthy and the "marking" is caused by stress. The family no longer has room to give Baylee her own "space" to destress and they are worried about her. Baylee is good with dogs and 1 other cat. She is a mommy's girl and follows Vicki everywhere. Baylee is currently in Michigan, but I am working on bringing her back to Wisconsin. She is a standard Highlander, but with a very short tail (less than 2" length). TICA code COP. Registered with both TICA and ACFA. Send message for more information.

I copied this from a friend's page. I'm sharing it as a PSA in hopes of giving this advice the widest dissemination. While it seems painfully obvious to me not to use anything other than pet safe shampoo on your pets, I'm filing this under "You don't know what you're don't know." (& sadly innocent lives can be sickened if not worse).

PLEASE DON'T USE DAWN POWER WASH ON PETS.
Dawn power wash has the same ingredient as an oven cleaner.
A woman on Facebook said she bathed all 8 kittens to get rid of fleas and all died.

I am so proud of Guinness! This is his first ACFA cat show. He competed against some very impressive cats in Adult Class. Guinness is only 9 months old and is maturing nicely!! Guinness earned his ACFA title of Double Champion! I am so fortunate to be able to show him for a few months as he earns ACFA titles. He will be joining Widdershinsllc Highlander Cats in Maine as a future King in a few months. He sure Loves playing with the judges and interacting with the spectators. 😻

Judge Vicky Merrill was very impressed with all the Highlanders at the ACFA cat show this weekend. We haven't seen Judge Merrill very often so it's wonderful to get such great compliments about all the Highlanders at the show. She awarded Guinness his first "Best Of Breed Highlander shorthair" and Osiris "B.O.B Highlander longhair." As well as placing Osiris in the top 10 All Breed finals. Her comment about Osiris was "This handsome boy has wonderful head shape, body structure, eye shape, beautiful placement and curve to the ears, nice tail...In my opinion, this guy is a wonderful example of the Highlander according to the breed standard." Thank you Judge Merrill! 😻

My beautiful Highlanders, Rhone and Brighu, competed against each other at the TICA cat show in Schaumburg Illinois today. The judges had great things to say about both cats! But, Rhone got Best of Breed ANB in all 6 rings. I didn't get any good pics of Brighu and only a couple quick pics and video of Rhone. The judges and I were so busy talking about how well the Highlander breed is doing that I didn't even think of getting pictures. Lol 😹 😻 I can't wait to show Rhone in Championship Adult class in the spring!

Magic got alittle squirmy after this final. But, for most of the show, Jaycie did a great job taking her up to and back from the show rings. Jaycie might be ready to join the ACFA Junior Exhibitors!

Judge Adrianna was as impressed with Guinness as she was with his sister, Rainbow Magic.

So hard to believe this fun-tastic guy is still available! Jameson is a nonstandard Highlander (due to long tail) but his personality is ALL HIGHLANDER! This big boy is still a kitten! He has alot more growing to do. Both of his parents are ACFA Double Champions! Reduced adoption fee. Send message for more info.

Jameson is available. He is a big, handsome, shorthair, nonstandard (long tail) Highlander kitten. He is fantastic with kids! Very low adoption fee. Fully vetted! TICA registered! Jameson would do fantastic in Household Pet class.

Jameson is still available!! This guy is such a character. He is a fun loving clown, great with kids, and absolutely loves affection! He is a 6 month old Highlander kitten, nonstandard bcuz he has a long tail. But his personality is all Highlander!! He will do best with a buddy to play with.
