The TRUTH about itchy dogs!

The veterinary recommendation for treating this condition is the following 9 steps to treat allergy-related itchy skin/dermatitis
Flea treatment
dermacare shampoos
Hill's Science Diet (naturally 🤔)
omega 3 supplements
grooming
antihistamines
spot treatments
barrier care
bedding.

This means you could fork out tons of rands trying to treat your dog's itchy skin...

Many vets will also state Chicken and Beef as common causes of diet-related allergies.

What they never mention is this 👉 WHEAT and WHEAT/CEREAL BY-PRODUCTS are the #1* cause of itchy skin, dull coat, ear infections, and other allergy-related issues in dogs.

Want proof? Find me a "Sensitive" formula which contains these ingredients. You won't. In the case of Hill's Science Diet, many of their other products contain wheat, yet their sensitive formula does not.

Why? To sell products! You switch your itchy dogs to an expensive "scientific" brand and it works..! But it's not magic, it simply means the transition has removed the allergens from the diet (many dog foods contain excessive cheap grains). Because the "scientific" product works, you're locked in.

If you have an itchy dog, first step is assess their diet and change it accordingly. It's much cheaper than the alternatives listed above, and will likely address other underlying conditions as well. All kibble contains a high load of carbohydrates which causes inflammation. Dogs need a balanced raw diet with minimal (2-4%) carbohydrates to ensure optimum cellular functioning.

Don't feed wheat. Don't feed ambiguous cereal and cereal grain by-products. Feed a species appropriate balanced raw diet.

❗❗ATTENTION HOOMANS❗❗

It's Guyfawks time... which is a great cause of stress for ALL animals!!

Please prepare your furchildren by keeping them indoors, surrounded by all their favourite things. For those with severe anxiety issues, please give them something to calm their nerves.

The biggest problem is ignorance - people think that it won't happen to them. Their dogs/cats etc will be okay.... they won't jump over the wall... their heads won't get stuck in the gate or where ever due to them trying to get away!!
It has happened & the possibility is always there that it could happen.

We say - rather safe than sorry!!
