My Story
I offer a fully insured walking & training service to help those dog owners who are either over committed with work or social activities or those who simply can’t get about as well as they used to and need some help walking their beloved four legged friend. I hold a Diploma in Complete Canine Care (Distinction) with the British College of Canine Studies, am a qualified ‘Pro Dog Trainer’, and I also hold a canine first aid certificate. The Pro Dog Trainer course is by ‘Absolute Dogs’ and is a relatively new concept in dog training, taking reward based training on to a new level and solving the majority of canine issues through playing games (lots of games). Rather than teaching behaviours we focus on concepts and real life skills. So just to name a few, a dog that’s not listening to you - Focus games, a dog with poor recall - Proximity games, a nervous or anxious dog - Confidence boosting games. Tackling your dogs struggles through the power of games not only resolves the issue in hand but also builds that bond between you and in turn you get the behaviours you want. This not only makes it fun for your dog but also for you and continually improves the bond between you. I am an experienced dog handler and have a wealth of experience in socialising dogs in the correct manner. I also recognise that some dogs prefer not to mix with others and understand the importance of not forcing them into a situation they will not be comfortable in. Everything I do is for the benefit of the dogs and ensuring they have a good time. To that end, I will tailor my service to meet not just your requirements but more importantly your dog’s.
