🐑 Heartwarming Moment Alert! 🐑

We couldn't be happier to share this sweet video of Stephen and Maggie at The Happy Herd. Maggie, our timid new arrival, had bonded with Diane right away though had been quite nervous around Stephen since she arrived a week ago. But today, she's finally warming up to him! 🥰

Maggie sits calmly with Stephen, finding comfort and love in her new home. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of patience and kindness.

Big news at The Herd🐑
🐑 **Meet Maggie: she just arrived to her new home at The Happy Herd Farm Sanctuary 🐑

It all started with a simple drop-off of cat food at Langley Animal Protection which turned into a heartwarming two-hour visit. Among the many animals in need, there was one special creature—a sheep.

Maggie was picked up two weeks earlier in terrible condition. She had been moved to a foster home and desperately needed a forever home. Her eyes bulged with fear, her wool was patchy and matted, and she had collapsed once. Yet, the vet believed she had a chance.

With the help of two volunteers, we created an area and brought her home. To our surprise, she relaxed almost immediately and began grazing. Maggie knew she was finally home.

Maggie has a long road ahead to gain weight and trust. She’s seen a cat, a pig, and Noodles, another little sheep each encounter widening her eyes in fear before she slowly relaxes, feeling safe.

We named her after a 12-year-old friend who loved animals and passed too young. Let's honor her memory by helping Maggie thrive. 🐾💕

Our hearts are full of gratitude for our amazing community of animal lovers. Thanks to your generosity, we've raised an incredible **$18,500** to support the animals at The Happy Herd Farm Sanctuary and the Vancouver Humane Society. With the support of matching donors, this total has grown to **$28,500**!

Here's what your generous donations have made possible:
- **Food for all the cows** at The Happy Herd for six months
- **Five vet visits** for our beloved animals
- **Food for all chickens** at The Happy Herd for a year
- **Lifesaving tests for 50 pets** through the VHS's McVitie Fund
- Reaching **160,000 animal allies** to advocate for meaningful policy changes

These little ones have grown up so fast! Now, they’re living the good life here at Happy Herd, enjoying all the love, care, and freedom they deserve. It’s been a joy to watch them grow and thrive in their forever home.
