Axolittles To Axolotls

We, like many others first saw the infamous Ambystoma mexicanum in a viral video! From there the obsession began! I researched them constantly, I questioned everything, I found every group, read every file. I could not get enough. Between their mythical appearance and ability to regrow HALF THEIR BRAIN!! What is there not to be enthralled about?

I began with asking questions, I posted in groups and as many new members face, there was little response. DON’T TAKE THIS PERSONAL! This is just how the internet is, you gain relevance and are shown more the more you interact and put yourself out there. I was lucky enough to find my now good friend Ally who walked me through EVERYTHING. To this day she is the only person I’ve bought an axolotl from (all 5!). This poor woman has handled the brunt of my axolotl (and life ! Haha) issues, she’s answered every question, no matter the amount of times I asked. Needless to say she’s why I am here, and I am so grateful for her!

I bought my first (3!) Axolotls from Ally at The Manchester Reptile Expo. I mean, who can have just one?! We thought we were prepared, thought we knew, we were silly! I eventually got a hang of things, it took 2 years!! What better to do when you’re comfortable? Stretch the limits!
