This is Indie and Elsa who are up for adoption. I’m doing cat visits with them at their foster home this weekend. Indie, the black & white one, as you can see, is super friendly. Elsa, the black one, is very shy. Both so sweet. They are hoping for permanent homes.

Penny is an adorable chihuahua who weighs 13 pounds. She is estimated to be about 9 years old. This delightful girl is a wonderful companion. Her past is sad, as she was found in a dumpster with her 2 puppies. The belief is that she was a puppy mill dog. But none of this seems to have dampened her spirit! Penny is loving and sweet. She's ready to settle into her adoptive home and stay forever!

At this time Penny lives with 2 other senior dogs. It'd be nice for Penny to find a home where she has friendly, mature canine buddies to hang out with. Penny does not want to live with cats though! We are told that Penny does well with respectful children that treat her with kindness.

Penny is accustomed to living in a home where her person is around most of the day. While she can stay alone with her canine friends for some time when her person has to leave the house, it's not her favorite time! She can manage a break for a few hours at a time. She is well housetrained, going to the door to let you know she needs to get out to do her business.

This fun little girl enjoys her walks. Penny does well on leash. She enjoys play time and getting to roll around and run. We'd bet she'd love a home with a fenced yard to explore in. Penny is a smart dog who catches on quickly. She isn't a beggar but will stare and you and tap her front paws when she's hungry-CUTE! She will bark when she's excited about someone she likes coming to her home but Penny will stop barking when she is told to.

Penny hopes to find a home with someone who will continue to allow her to sleep on their bed in her bed. Everyone who meets Penny, loves Penny and she loves them to! Are you ready for your lucky Penny?

Penny is located in Tacoma, WA. For contact information please email: [email protected]

This is a courtesy post. Penny is not an Old Dog Haven dog. We urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.

Good Morning! Abbey's profile has been updated with new information. We hope you'll share this lovely girl today. She sounds like a gem!

Beautiful, shiny black lab Abbey is a 9 year girl who weighs 73 pounds. Described as a "very, very sweet, gentle kind spirit". Abbey is blind and needs an adoptive home with someone whose home is more suited to a blind dog. A home without too many stairs (if any) would be safest for her. As blind dogs often do, Abbey can learn to navigate new surroundings with time and smell.

Abbey has lived with other dogs and we are told she is appropriately social with those she meets. Because she is blind, a home with older, mellow dogs would be best for Abbey. She has lived with cats and we are told she does great with kids over 10 years old. Abbey loves people!

Abbey is very well behaved and rarely barks. Once she has adapted to her new home, we are told she can stay alone inside her home managing quite a few hours before she needs a potty break. However as a dog ages, it becomes more difficult for them to "hold it" for long hours.

Abbey is accustomed to hanging out inside her home, going outside just to do "her business" or lay in the sun when it's nice outside. Abbey can be playful at times, squeaking her toys but mostly she is mellow and enjoys laying on the floor with her people.

Before coming to her current owners, she was traumatized by her former owners putting a harness on her. Her current owners who have had Abbey for about 7 years told us this: "Abbey walks part hunkered down in her harness and/or a collar leash situation, that is just how she does it. She will walk though, we take her from our backyard to the car, we’ve even taken her on vacation to the beach and this is how she walks, Not sure why she responds this way and she’s improved from when we first got her, but, she just doesn’t like it and it shows, that is all there is to that."

Abbey's owners will share vet records with potential adopters. She has some food sensitivities to some foods. Recent blood work does not indicate any health issues. Abbey has not lost her vision due to diabetes; she is not a diabetic dog. Her adopter should be willing, able and committed to affording veterinary care for the rest of her days. In return for a forever home with commitment, love and care, we bet Abbey is going to make someone very happy.

Abbey is located in Poulsbo, WA. For contact information please email: [email protected]

Who wouldn't want to welcome Max into their family?? Said to be "the sweetest dog in the world!", this 100 pound fellow is an 8 year old yellow lab mix. He is friendly with EVERYONE! Max loves people. He enjoys the company of other dogs, cats and children who will be gentle to him. Max is described as " a very happy and obedient dog". He is happiest when he is with his people, enjoying time with them and good belly rubs.

We are told that Max is good on leash and that he'd really appreciate a home where he gets out for more walks than he has been able to in the past few months. Daily walks could help Max lose a little of the extra weight he's carrying, help keep his joints healthy and give him time to appreciate all the sights, smells and sounds the outdoors has to offer.

Max doesn't appreciate many stairs to climb. This could be because of his weight or it could be because of the common issue older dogs have with peripheral vision. Whatever the reason, it'd be best for Max not to need to climb many stairs in his new home. Max has wonderful house manners and can stay alone inside the house without any issue, managing quite a few hours before he needs a potty break.

As with any adoption, we ask potential adopters to recognize whether the cost of vet care is something you can manage. Max is a young senior. He needs an adopter who can afford his care for the rest of his days. He also requires regular bathing and grooming to keep his skin and coat healthy. This is a big boy so one should be able to physically manage his size.

Max is currently living in a kennel as his owner can no longer keep him and extended family cannot take him into their home. No doubt Max would like to leave the kennel and make his way to a committed, forever home soon. Someone is going to be very lucky to make Max a part of their family!

Max is located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. For contact information please email: [email protected]

If you're looking for your new very best buddy, then look no further than Jake! This adorable 22 pound cream terrier mix is about 8 years old. He bonds strongly with his humans and loves to be their shadow. Whether it's going for walks (this little guy can move surprisingly quick!), playing with toys or snuggling on the sofa, Jake is happy to do it all by your side.

Jake can be nervous with strangers and is looking for a home without many visitors, or where he can hang out in a quiet space if people do come over. He will likely do best with just teens and adults who can let him settle in at his own pace and can handle him gently.

Jake loves his humans so much that he doesn't want to share them or their attention! He's looking to be the only pet in his new home. Jake is not a fit for an apartment or condo. If you're ready to bring home your constant companion, send in an adoption application today!

Jake is posted for Homeward Pet Adoption Center in Woodinville, WA. For more information please email: [email protected]

We need an Edward R Murrow now to speak out against trump. His editorial on mccarthy should be directed to trump and all of those that support him. His lies about the election being stolen have damaged this country . The lies that mccarthy spewed about people being communists created so much fear. So many lives were ruined as a result of his thirst for power. trump to me is no different. He thirst’s for power and he doesn’t care who he steps on to get it. The only way to stop him is in November.

Closing a half-hour television report on Senator Joseph McCarthy, Edward R Murrow delivered a stinging editorial about McCarthy's tactics and their impact.
