BISCUIT UPDATE: it’s official! Our sweet, silly and insanely intelligent girl has officially been confirmed as a brood! Biscuit was chosen based on her superior health and temperament and will be a part of creating the next generation of guide dogs. We are SO proud of our girl and we cannot wait to meet future baby biskies 🥹

Today marks one year since we said goodbye to our best boy. A year sprinkled with firsts without him by our side, and an entire 365 days of wishing he were. They say grief is the price we pay for love and boy did we love him. I hope our paths will cross again someday, but until then I’ll imagine him sprawled out across the comfiest arm chair that heaven has to offer 🤍

Two years ago today, Steve and I were married on the most beautiful day with the most beautiful boy by our side. We talk about Brody regularly, how much he would have loved the baby and how much we miss his calm yet goofy personality around the house. While it can be easy to get caught up in all of the moments he’s currently missing - I am forever grateful for all of the moments we shared. 🤍

It breaks my heart to share that I am no longer with The Dogist.
I first met the team a little over three years ago - I was working at an agency, and they were my client - but they were only a part of my role, and as time went on, it became clear that I really only wanted to work for them. A year later, my dreams came true. I went on to join them full-time, and being a part of Team Dogist quickly became part of my identity (ok, maybe my entire identity). It was more than just a job - it was a lifestyle, and we were a family. This news comes as a total shock - especially since I am just one month away from welcoming our first child to our pack. I am unsure what comes next for us, and honestly, the future seems a bit scary right now. I am very fortunate to have an incredibly supportive husband and family and three pups and a very clingy cat who have provided endless comfort during this time. If you've been following along since the beginning, you know that we've been through some dark times, and with your support, we've managed to pull through. I promise to keep sharing the pups, and you can all laugh with me as we figure out life with a newborn. More to come soon. xoxo

Our sweet, silly, messy, brave girl turns 1 today 🥹. Raising Biscuit has been such an incredible experience and she continues to impress me every day. At just a year old she holds so much potential - please join me in wishing our best girl a very happy birthday

Introducing, Blue 💙
Owning a Doberman has been a dream of mine since before I can remember. It is something I began pursuing when we purchased our house in 2020, and put on the back burner when Artie fell into our laps. After Brody’s passing, I made contact with the breeders I had talked to 2 years prior knowing that we’d have a long waitlist ahead of us. A million and one things fell perfectly into place, and it truly feels like this little girl, who was born on the eve of my 30th birthday, was meant to be ours. Her angelic personality feels like it was hand picked for us by Brody, and we can’t wait to see what our future with her has in store.

Biscuit had her 10 month evaluation earlier this month and blew us all away. She is confident and attentive, not phased by sounds, crowds, stairs or elevators, and is just so eager to work. For the first time, Biscuit got to try on a harness and we got a glimpse of what her future as a guide dog looks like. I am so proud of how far she has come and I cannot wait to see how far she will go. 🦮💙

Today is Artie’s 2nd birthday 🥳 this strange long-legged boy has brought so much joy and laughter to our lives. He is the most welcoming foster brother to anyone we bring home and the best night time snuggler. We love this boy so much and I can’t imagine our lives without him.
