We have an unwavering conviction to honor the fact that each and every animal is an innocent, living breathing soul that deserves a chance at life, love, and a family. We envision our fellow citizens as well as local officials coming together to build a No Kill Community. We believe that as our community becomes aware of our current situation and learns that a progressive humane sheltering mentality is the only right choice and moral imperative they will not settle for less.

💗THESE babies are all safe !!! There are others that need adoptions to good homes or reputable rescues .
Any out help - Strays continue to come in faster than we can keep up with .
We have been involved with helping Smith County Dogs since the beginning & bringing attention to the dogs that needed exposure and help since 2014 !💗

Thanks to all who donated and made a commitment to honor their pledge - This saved 2 lives at a CRITICAL TIME💗♦️
Smith County Pets Alive has offered to sponsor Temp Boarding for these 2 !
Butterball and Opal are 2 of the urgent dogs at Smith County Animal Control & have the opportunity to go to temporary boarding for a rescue for 3 weeks - Opal is also a bite risk and is not leash trained but Smith County Pets Alive has offered to work with Opal and to assist in raising funds to save these 2 lives ! Butterball is the longest resident .
This is a wonderful opportunity for Both that we want to be able to give them
After 3 weeks , they will go to another 501c3 Rescue who will have space for them at that time .
Boarding costs for the 2 will be approximate $900.
This includes transport , meds , & boarding . Any amount helps !

(2014) We had a dream and we did it ! - this was a picture of Smith County AC not long after our organization helped network . They were 99 percent kill rate , and were a closed shelter to the public and rescues . Today we estimate that 3/4ths of the animals who are rescued and or adopted are done so through the Networking on our page . We do not just post but facilitate when and how we can .
This would not be possible without a LOT of help from you , our followers , supporters , & our partner rescues!

Sometimes we get so busy we don’t even have time to sit down & just enjoy our surroundings . It’s been a busy week but we managed to get a few of the most urgent dogs out of both local shelters through networking , transport and boarding assistant -
We also assisted 3 community dogs , ( Smith County area ) and 1 in Wood County area ( where our lake property is located ).

A few weeks ago when visiting the shelter , I passed by Bub’s cage - He was just sitting there quietly while all the other dogs were barking ( # In thread below ) Bub is also a # who donated blood to save another dogs life , is heartworm negative , UTD on vaccines and rabies .
He is only 1.5 years old and the perfect size at 43 #
Adoption fees are waived and you receive a voucher for neuter free . Please only consider adoption if you can provide a good home for this special boy. The shelter is already at max capacity even though we have been able to network quite a few out last week . As space fills up , his time grows shorter . Please share him with family , friends , reach out to rescues . We have tagged 9 recently and took in 2 community dogs today to prevent them from going to the shelter .
Bub has the most beautiful eyes and sweet personality - He would make absolutely wonderful pet for a family ! PLEASE GO meet this boy - He is also available for rescue and has enough pledges to vet ! Available for rescue also and has pledges to more than cover vetting .

There are always a few dogs that stand out and Homer is one of them .. # loves people & he is everyone's best friend, loves to be petted ! He is very smart: He has been VOTED # ‼️ - Smith County Animal Control is at Maximum Capacity - DO NOT WAIT if you have any interest in this boy !
He is 77 lbs and approximately 3 years of age.
He is HW positive but has firm offer to pay /sponsor HW treatment , even for an adopter (paid directly to vets office. He also has an offer to help with some boarding assistance as well as pledges to a 501c3 that will cover additional vetting. We can find some help with transport up to 150 miles typically.

These 2 pups were transported to County Roads today as the SCAC shelter was full & Tyere time was limited
We assisted rescues with getting 15 others saved, and tagged 9 dogs in the last few weeks ! A minimum of 24 lives saved & also did 2 community assists for Smith County dogs .
8 of our dogs arrived safely on transport thanks to a generous foster and arrived at their final destination in Ohio with one of our rescue partners .

9 Dogs Saved by County Pets Alive‼️

This is Jaina , & Zenos who were tagged by Smith County Pets Alive , COMPLETELY Vetted and will be going to a rescue partner Mid May -
We also tagged 6 Siblings as the shelter was out of space - VIDEO in threads Slick , Greta, Pretzel Button , Bambi , Joey ALL were completely vetted including spay and neuter - ( Also BlackJack was tagged and has been transferred to a partner rescue )
- Complete vetting, which include spay and neuters
, fosters and or boarding for weeks , Meds , fecals , Vet exams , health certificates , and transport is paid for on our end . We don’t simply give them wormer and tractor supply shots - Even at discounted rates , we estimate it costs about $300 minimum per dog x9

Hickory us up and away !!
💜🐾SWEET HICKORY is UP & AWAY ‼️ We had the pleasure of transporting Hickory from Smith County Animal Contol & Shelter a few days ago . After being boarded & and vetted for Southwest Oasis Lab Rescue due to a full shelter , he is on his way to a better life ! This is a great rescue & I know he will find his perfect Home - all 96 ish pounds !
We are delighted to announce that Carly and Fairy and found their rescue and are safe ! A rescue King Dog Rescue inquired about them through our networking page ‘Saving Animals from Euthanasia in Texas’ since 2013 !
We took Our Dino now Remi to meet transport yesterday afternoon ! He is going to make someone a great dog ! We were able to save him from the Smith County Animal Shelter due to a foster stepping up to help ! I know you hear this a lot but WE REALLY couldn’t continue without your help ! We also saw 4 of our former Scac dogs ! So 5 dogs were off to better lives ! ( 4 from TGAR - and Cynthia V who fosteree Shadow through HW Treatment !) Dino/Remi, Heath , Audrey , Wonder and Shadow are off to a partner rescue in Ma! Ruff Tales Rescue is one of the BEST & we are so grateful to them and all the dogs they help from Smith County- we know they will have GREAT Lives! Happy Wagging Tails !
Arlo was tagged by Smith County Pets Alive from Smith County Animal Control due to a foster stepping up - He was heart-worm positive , went through treatment and was completely vetted - Arlo is getting lots of love and attention and part of this loving family now in Canada - 💜🐶💜🐾
