Scented Candles: Seasonal Smells, but Harmful to Everyone’s Health 🕯️⚠️

As appealing as scented candles are, they also produce dangerous indoor pollutants that dramatically affect the health of your entire family, including the furry members. 🤧❗

I don't recommend using air-scenting products, especially if you have pets in your home that can’t step out for a breath of clean, fresh air, if needed. ✖️

For safe, nontoxic ways to keep your home smelling fresh, read today’s free article: https://bit.ly/3sR4sbR

Live from earlier today to talk about the canine respiratory illness that has pet parents concerned https://www.facebook.com/share/v/HSKGtM6wv54Lxeq5/?mibextid=WC7FNe

Blog post: https://drjudymorgan.com/blogs/blog/mysterious-canine-respiratory-infection-prevention-and-support

📢 Be smart about where you take your dog. There are still many unknowns about this illness, but two ways to reduce risk are limiting access to other pets and supporting your pet's immune system.

Here are a few items I am keeping on hand in case symptoms appear:

• MycoDog Breathe - Cordyceps, Reishi, Artist Conk, and Chaga work together to provide respiratory and cardiovascular support. Excellent immune system supporters.
• NAC powder - Helps with respiratory inflammation and breaking down mucous
• Ester-C - Antioxidant, helps maintain a healthy immune system
• Colostrum - Supplies immunoglobulins and cytokines which are part of the immune system
• PEA - Helps with inflammation, damage from pulmonary fibrosis.
• Manuka Honey - Antibacterial, boosts immune system, soothes sore throat, relieves cough, antiviral, anti-inflammatory
• Cordyceps - Helps to elevate oxygen intake
• Colloidal Silver - Antiviral, antifungal, natural antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, works synergistically with antibiotics.

🎄It's never too soon to start talking about holiday safety!

The Pet Poison Hotline reports that November and December are when they receive the most potential poisoning calls of the year.
(800-213-6680) - Save their number!

With all the hustle and bustle of the season, evaluate your home for these potential pet dangers this season. Many of these are common sense, but a reminder never hurt anyone!

- Decorations like ribbons, tinsel, glass ornaments, and decorative plants and flowers

- Fire, whether it's in a fireplace, outdoor firepit, or a lit candle

- Eggnog, specifically spiked eggnog, and any other alcohol due to the risk of ethanol poisoning

- Holiday feasts: if you're doing a big buffet style spread make sure food gets covered properly and is not easily accessible for pets!

- Ice melt: If you get snow and ice where you live, be aware when taking pets outside if the area has been treated with any ice melt products, you do not want them to ingest these products.

Starting off the weekend with some cuteness! Adoptable Molly and Ollie ❤️

My name is Molly (on the left) My foster mom says I am a sweet and smart little girl. I am petite at only 4.1 pounds at 12 weeks but full of love and energy. I love wrestling with my brother Ollie, and I learned to climb out of the wire play pen. At night.

I am Ollie (on the right) and I am a small boy at 5 lbs at 12 weeks. I am a little more independent than my sister Molly and will try to play with the big dogs.

Like all puppies their age, Molly and Ollie will need potty and exercise breaks every 3 hours during the day. If you have the time and love to devote to Molly or Ollie and live in the Central Florida/Orlando area please send in an application and let us know more about your family.

Planning to Give Your Pooch Peanut Butter? Watch Out for This Ingredient! ⚠️

Peanut butter often contains xylitol, a sweetener that can be extremely toxic and potentially deadly to dogs. 🐶⚠️ It’s also sometimes referred to as “birch sugar” or “wood sugar.”❗

Dogs are believed to have a much more complete and rapid absorption of xylitol after oral ingestion than humans do, which accounts for its toxicity. Xylitol poisoning causes a precipitous drop in blood sugar, which can lead to loss of consciousness and seizures. 🚨

Should you ever consider adopting two puppies, or siblings, at the same time? While it may seem like a grand idea, many shelters and breeders don't allow it for very good reasons. Often a disaster waiting to happen, here's what I advise you to do if you've already adopted a pair.
