Malinois zoomies were just the thing to get Sugar the doodle into play mode and build her confidence.
Goose sure has settled down and become a much calmer and better-behaved boy. He was pretty anxious in his crate when he first came and would bark incessantly and run around his crate like a hamster on a wheel. I stuffed an enclosed crate full of straw for him and that was a game changer. He was able to get cozy and rest and learn to settle down. Proud of the improvements this little guy has made!
Copper doodle went home with his people yesterday. I wish I had gotten pics of his field trip at M & D where he was was a very good boy. Happy with all the progress he made and I hope he is a good boy for his humans.
Tucker is accustomed to walking on a retractable leash with his humans. I have been working with him to stay on the left side of me and stop crisscrossing. I stop him or do a surprise 180 if he puts too much pull on the leash. He is catching on, and learning to stay with me even with off-leash dogs running around us.
Baby Bulma is looking good also. Good girls.

Getting the crew out to splash around
Tux went to agility class with me today and was a perfect gentleman in Tractor Supply. I am gonna miss this great little guy when he goes back to his people.
Chili is always a good helper
Tucker the wild child
Look how calm the wild child is being on our field trip to town! Good boy, Tucker!
Merlin came to stay with me because he is reactive to other dogs/stimuli and his family has had difficulty taking him for walks because of this. This was our first outing to Petco. I allowed him to explore the environment a bit because this was all new to him. I hoped to see other dogs there, and there was a GSD that we were able to pass at a distance repeatedly with no reaction from Merlin. Merlin works on a Sporn No-Pull harness because he has had some neck injuries. Proud of the progress this guy made and his family has given me good reports since he went home on Friday. 🐾
Even though this is a normal every day sight for us here at the kennel, it is a special moment for these particular dogs. The black dog, Merlin, has always had some trouble relating to other dogs. He is probably never going to be a dog park playmate, but I love that he can play with carefully selected playmates and get to be a social dog. The yellow dog, Lady, was super shy around the other dogs when she arrived. My other board & train dogs, Gator and Tucker, are much too hyper and rambunctious for her to play with. She would hide from them. But she and Merlin have become friends. I have heard trainers say that dogs don’t need dog friends, but I believe their lives are enriched when they can enjoy the company of other dogs.
