From a pet owner to a pet supply store founder, it only takes one Yorkie. I opened Krazy For Pets because of my dog, Sam. I was working as a web developer for a small firm when I adopted him. The company was specialized in eCommerce so day in day out, I coded a website for people to buys things.
For the first 3 years of Sam’s life, he went to work with me every day. He loved car ride and he would sit in his little doggie seat looking out the window with joy. In the office, my co-workers would take a turn to have him on their desk. He was in all kind of spaces, including a sock!
Sam wasn't the first dog in my life but he was the first dog that was mine. Perhaps because of this fact, I was eager to read any books, visit any dog blogs and forums to get to know Sam. Also, I hoped to become a better pet parent.
Back then, I didn't know much about pet products. A couple years later I realized that not all pet products were made the same. Instead of the cost saving, I went for better quality. I started shopping at local stores instead of going to a big supply chain. I spent time talking to people at those local stores and learned a thing or two.
With the new knowledge, plus skills from everyday-job, the idea of having an online store came to mind. It's not because I could make money but because the majority of people were like me... not knowing much about how pet products are made. Don't you think that it's nice to shop at a store that already picks out better products for your dog?
Encouragement from friends and ears that listen to my complains about bad pet products, I finally opened Krazy For Pets in 2009. The store has been serving pets and their parents from all over the country since then. As time passes, I made more friends with products owners and manufactures. That's how I know which brands to carry and which products to offer. After all, these are products I will buy for Sam!

As a side note, we adopted Nick, another Yorkie to be friend with Sam. They had such an odd relationship. Nevertheless they are loved by family and people around them. You can see Nick’s picture above!
