It’s been a while since we posted. It’s been difficult as all the buns have reached old age together, with it has come the expected health problems.
Today we share the news that after some tough weighing up our beloved Gremlin has gone for the long sleep today. Her feet no longer hurt and now her eyes can see. Our little space bun, our tiny hippo, our wrinkle queen.
We had over 7 years with her after she was dumped in a cardboard box, blind and scared. The breeder didn’t want her any more. I didn’t expect her to live a long life, yet she consistently pushed on. The bravest little soul I’ve ever known. For such a tiny creature she showed incredible strength.
Here she was loved. So loved. We will meet again my little sweet Tendie. My gentle little girl.

*her eye perforated for the second time. This time the only option was £800 surgery. With her arthritis, dodgy lungs, weight loss, how she responded to surgery before and four feet with continuous pododermititis we felt it would be cruel to continue. Even if she had surgery to remove her eyes, at an estimated 9+ years old and feet that just won’t heal, it was kinder to let her rest. I used energy from the Universe to ask her and she licked me, letting me know it was okay to let go. She was ready to rest. She had lots of extra food and her favourite coriander. Better a day too soon than a day too late. It’s just still so damn hard.
