Unpopular opinion: Know when to back off.

Horses are not machines. Make sure you find a trainer that knows when to push, and when to back off.

Get you a trainer that pays attention to your horse and their needs.

Some horses are such people pleasers, such hard workers, so trusting and willing, that they'd follow people into their own breaking point; and the wrong people will push them past it.

Make sure you find a trainer that recognizes the limits in your horse and doesn't try to experiment with their mental or physical soundness for faster results.

Like it or not, sometimes days off teach your horse more than constant daily pushing will.

They cannot speak, but the right trainers can still hear them. Make sure they listen.

The National Snaffle Bit Association and NSBA Foundation hosted the second session of the third class of the Tomorrows Horsemen® program at the office in Weatherford, Texas this week. This impressive group of young professionals continue to make the association proud as they strive to improve themselves as horsemen, businessmen & women, and ambassadors for the equine industry.

2017 brown AQHA gelding by OHK x RLBOS mare.
Very sweet gelding that will excel in the HUS, and pattern classes. Started in the SMS and over poles - has a great stride for trail. Green eligible for everything. Enjoys having a job and is very quiet, although he is not a beginner horse - would be ideal for an experienced youth or amateur. In your pocket type that loves to be fussed over. Stands great for the farrier and vet, hauls, clips, ties, and baths great. This guy loves his daily turnout and gets along well with a buddy. Will be hauled around and shown this year. Minimal maintenance.
