Lily #59920577 {Adult Female/Terrier, Fox, Smooth}
Meet Lily! 🌸
She is a 5-year-old Smooth Fox Terrier with lots of love to give.

Lily is a sweet, playful girl who lives for fetch—seriously, if there’s a ball involved, she’s all in! She enjoys her playtime, loves attention, and shines brightest when she can be the center of her person’s world.

We do recommend a home without other animals or small children, as Lily prefers a calmer environment where she can soak up all the love for herself. In the right home, she will be an incredibly loyal, fun, and affectionate companion.

If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who’s always ready to play and then curl up with you afterward, Lily may be your perfect match.
Come meet her and see if your forever starts today 💕🐾

A new picture of the 4 year old Margaret, and a picture of our new rescue, 7 year old Lovie! Just FYI- Margaret is described as “very busy”, meaning she is very active and full of energy, and needs a lot of attention. But very sweet! Lovie is described as housetrained, not so great on the leash (🙄), and sweet.

COURTESY POST:
9 year old June is currently with the SPCA of Luzerne County (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.). I spoke with the shelter folks, and they said she is the sweetest and most lovable girl, very spunky, and would do well anywhere without cats! She is spayed, and vet exam shows her to be very healthy. Someone please get her!

REGARDING THE SMOOTH FOX TERRIERS IN CONNECTICUT:
We are so very grateful for all of the responses we are getting for our request to help these babies! We are also getting a lot of questions, so here is the situation:
They are from a breeder who is no longer able to care for them, and although it is breaking her heart, she wanted to make sure that the dogs are cared for, and has released some of her SFTs to us. There may be more to follow. They are currently being cared for by another breeder until we can make other arrangements for them. Like some show dogs, they have only lived in kennels, and are crate trained, but not house trained. They will need to be spayed and neutered, and be taken to the vet for health checks and to be brought up to date on shots, if needed. We are currently seeking people to foster, since we need to have them cared for and evaluated in a pet home environment, but as soon as we know more about them individually, they will be available for adoption. It is our policy that those who foster a dog will have first “dibs” on adopting the dog, if they so chose. It is our understanding that they are healthy, and have very good temperaments. As for location- while we are able to pay for necessary immediate medical attention, we simply don’t have the funds or means to have them transported to other areas of the country, unless the person who wants to foster is able to make travel arrangements.
With this information in mind, if you wish to foster, please go to our website, americanfoxterrierrescue.org and complete an adoption application. (We also use that application for people offering to foster). You may also contact Deborah at (404) 538-0975 for more information.

Thank you everyone!❤️
Update: the original breeder says that they have all be housetrained in the past. They may have confusion or routine issues at first, but they will “get it” quickly!
