Chicks are here and the coop is coming next week ! Especially chosen for blue and green and brown eggs, each of them are darling already.

Big day on the farm today; pedicures for all ! I am happy to say everyone was great except Annie, but this was her very first time. Annie just didn't understand and with lots of gentle direction she got the hang of it in no time. Annie is just a doll mini, I started her on clipping, too, but gave her a break after ten minutes or so..she is very brave but that asks a lot of any horse, first time, first day. I also introduced her to the other minis here, Blu and Faith; through a fence and not one single squeal or kick. Snow baby, one of my rescues, did so well, too with the farrier. She amazes me how calm and sweet and totally non aggressive or upset by anything. Now for the biggest news; we brought our rescue mini mare in foal about to foal any day now. We have a camera on her as we speak. She is a real treasure already.

Now mama and baby needs names. Mama is a bay, a refined bay. She is tucked in a nice stall with bedding and soft hay and plenty of water; she is able to walk out under the stars and stretch out. Soft comfort stall matting is in there for her, too.

Looking seriously for a home for this baby rescue. "Snow Baby" is as sweet as can be, a gentle and loving follow you anywhere large mini. Would make a great companion or babysitter. No attachments issues, no vices at all, you can imprint whatever you want on her, she is a blank slate but wants a forever home having escaped the worst. Cream color, brown shaded legs, could be taught to drive or ride, small child. Really really sweet and kind. Please share.

Current rescues let out into pasture for the first time, as quarantine ends. Mama is the gorgeous gray appaloosa and baby is Snow baby, cream color with dark brown stockings. Both are looking for new homes. Mama rides and drives, baby is well...a baby, but has the SWEETEST temperament EVER. NOTHING bothers her and she loves people. Will make a terrific companion mini, but as a mini, she is large. Not quite a pony, but a large mini.

Newest mini, meet Annie. I cannot say enough about her already. she just wants love, love, love. She nestles her nose into your neck and just stays there snuggling. The feeling of total trust is inexplicable from a baby just arrived.

My newest project mini. Annie. Arrived today and already learned to unload off a steep ramp and get a bath. In a quiet stall with lots of soft hay and light breezes. Went in to brush her a little and she just tucks her head into your neck and stays there like a mini horse hug; I have experienced this once in my horse life, with my Mali; it is something when you feel that trust and desire to bond. This little girl is going to be something really special for someone.

Two of our first minis found a wonderful mama and home with Cindy Gordon...here are some darling pics of them bonding and getting to know one another. These boys came from an auction hours near the end of the line for them; little black Bear had the most incredible eyes, and this beautiful little roan buy had a spitfire spirit. Little Bear passed away a bit ago due to heart or stroke; it is only by grace we get to do the best we can for them to find the love they deserve.

Here is our next little project. This little girl needs some serious bath time and we shall see what a treasure she is. To help other people she needs to be outgoing, friendly and sweet. She has not been handled much so that's my part. I get to love on her and gently bring her to love people and have trust in them and want to be good for them.

She is a baby and has no name yet but she is registered so I'll get a look at her papers to see her dam's name and her sire's name. Another unwanted baby, no one even knew mama was in foal.

I'll get her all tucked in tonight.

Precious HOPE, a trained mini, was off to her new home in TN yesterday ! Everyone absolutely fell in love with this adorable and sweet as pie mini girl...we almost didn't let her go...and she walked right on the trailer like the little professional she is. Congratulations Keila Marrero of Berrytinybitfarms. !

HOPE was a rescue mini, headed to slaughter when we snatched her up and gave her a new life. Chipped for her safety, she should never end up in that situation again.

So this little beauty is soon to be available, "Angel" as we call her; she is a rescue from slaughter, technically a mini, but more like a small pony. Said to be 12. Seems to have training and is reported to have been ridden and driven. She seems to accept side reins from behind and knows commands. A good stop, doesn't appear at all a runaway. Head in good position and nice smooth action. Sassy to meet you, but a doll and calm and obedient to work. Good combo. Likes to be groomed and played with. Out of quarantine and waiting only on her shots and farrier/dental. I will also chip her. She is an Appaloosa with gray in her, too, absolutely gorgeous...who throws these babies away? Speaking of babies..she had a yearling filly by her side, also available. She is well worth the $1,000 asking price to cover her costs to bail, get healthy and we can rescue another and keep HER off the meat market.
