Pov - you start horses from the ground up.
What a beautiful process to watch unfold when starting horses. All the ups and downs, the lessons learned for both horse and rider, to be able to create that magic. It's so rewarding.
Milo is progressing beautifully in his training with me. I'm so thankful for everything we both get to learn together. Training this horse has been so much fun, I'm so happy with how he's coming along. Been working on our spins and stops recently! We are prepping for our horse show this weekend as well. 🙌

In my short ten years of Horsemanship I've always loved seeing horsemen/women that I look up to having their horses so "with" them. I thought it was so magnificent to have a horse be so in tune with your energy and body language.
So I have strived for that. Your energy moves a horse. I've learned that it takes time and consistently for you to learn that as a horseman. But with developing a feel and having good timing (when to ask for more/when to release etc.) while working with these animals, you can achieve and gain such a phenomenal partnership. Were it looks like you both are one.

This year has been my greatest year yet. I got to know the lowest version of me and the strongest version of me. We've been hit with highs and lows but I can say this group always maintained a positive outlook. It's all been 100% worth every bit of it. As some of your know me and Geronimo went to a Halloween fun show at our favorite arena! This is me and Geronimo's barrel run. We got a 28 for a time. Not bad for a tired pony lol. He did great in this. Even caught a right lead for a moment. We are still working on our barrels but this was probably his best run yet. More posts about ten other events coming soon!🏁🐴💚

This was from me and geronimos ride yesterday. We also rode today. He did so good both days! I also got some good rides in my new saddle! I absolutely love and love it on geronimo! But today in our ride I used some +R training to help him relax and know that he was doing good! It helped a ton! I was very proud of my boy! 🐴

Not been up to too much with the ponies since it's been so so hot. But I groomed them both last night which was nice. Me and Geronimo are so pumped for the upcoming clinic this August! Getting this boy back into better shape. And jumping shape. He is doing so good. This was from our ride the other day. We did some bareback jumping and it was so fun. I love jumping this dude. These little jumps are easy for him as you can see lol. Can't wait for this heat to stop by us so we can ride. 💞

Rescue... They're worth it.
This boy has come so far since the beginning. There were alot of issues I didn't catch on camera that may make it seem like Finnick was 'easy' as some people have told me. By no means was this horse easy. He had so many things to work threw in his mind that it was so hard to work my way into his walls he had up. But finally it clicked. He understood he was safe and all I wanted to do what help him and show him compassion.

These horses need us. They just need love and compassion. And a chance. I am a huge advocate for saving horses from auctions, kill pens, and other bad situations. Rescue they are so worth it. This is finnick's rescue story.❤

🏁Barrels!🏁 Finnick was absolutely amazing at his first show. I couldn't have asked for better. He handled everything as if he has done it his whole life! We had so much fun last night. We did barrels and poles. And he did those great. Barrels we got a time of 31 seconds. I wasn't focused on going fast as he is still learning the pattern. And then in poles we got a 57 i think. Overall my little appy did phenomenal. He was also the only appaloosa there and everytime we went into the arena to compete the announcer said you have the prettiest horse here. What a compliment! This is just such a big thing because he is the first horse I've started and he is just doing amazing and it has been such a gift to be his rider!

This was such a fun ride. Me and @saige_equestrian went on a fun trail ride threw out our field. It was so fun. I even opened Geronimo up a bit! He looks slower in the video but it felt so fast! He was such a good boy in our ride. 🤠

Then i rode Finnick English and we practiced our things. I am hoping to take him to a jumping clinic in August so trying to get him a bit better. But he was so good and tried hard for me! And for his cool out we went on a beautiful trail again. Such a fun day with my boys!💜

I haven't ridden much at all because it's rained for at least a week straight and it's been terribly humid. So ponies have been off. I gave them baths yesterday. Using my favorite shampoo @greenhorseorganics ! They definitely loved the water since it was so hot. Then today i got them some fly boots. So far I'm loving them. It helps a lot with the flies. Hopefully getting back to work soon!❤

Took Geronimo on a fun ride around our country block! It was so much fun. He has some things throw at him. A little dog running out barking at him, to cars passing really close to him. He handled everything great! He is a very flighty horse so this was huge for him! Very very proud. Hope to do this some more!
