Hawthorn is helping his family raise a litter of rescued kittens! He's being so gentle and sweet with them! We're pretty sure he's gonna have his paws full in another week or two, though, when they start learning how to roughouse! 🤣

Genn had his initial appointment with Summerfields Animal Hospital's repro team today! He also had his first ever collection, just to see how it would go - he was perfectly behaved for it (honestly he didn't seem to give a single s**t what was happening LOL he just stood there like 😐😐😐). After it was over, he just laid down completely bored and unbothered. 😂🤷‍♀️

All that was collected today was prostatic fluid, no semen was present, so mid-November is definitely still too early for semen production, at least for Genn. Today was a good practice run, at least! We're going to try again in mid-January, when his hormones are in full swing. I plan to have him collected and frozen multiple times, so I should have plenty of breeding units stored for future use, both for my own plans and to offer stud services to other responsible breeders. 💕

Cassie making friends at Summerfields Animal Hospital repro vet! I'm sooo excited to finally be in prep mode for her April 2025 litter! Today is her "get to know you" visit to establish patient history and plan ahead for the actual breeding. This is the same repro vet we used with Reckless for the Frostbrood Litter in 2022, so we're in good hands! 🥰

Hawthorn was cool as a cucumber with his family at the amusement park. He and his "big" brother set a great example for dogs wearing protective booties in public, especially with summer temperatures on the rise! And Hawthorn didn't mind the crowds or rides at all! Looking good, handsome boys! 🧡
