🎃 Halloween is right around the corner! Here are some tips to keep your pet safe:
1. ID and Microchipping: Ensure your pet has a collar with an ID tag and a microchip with up-to-date info.
2. Watch the Door: When handing out candy, be mindful that your pet doesn't dart out the door.
3. Secure the Candy: Keep those treats out of your pet's reach. Chocolate, xylitol, and other candy ingredients can be toxic.
4. Decorations Awareness: Keep decorations, candles, and jack-o'-lanterns out of your pet's reach.
5. Costume Consideration: If you plan to dress up your pet, make sure the costume is comfortable, doesn't restrict their movement, and doesn't have small parts they could chew on or swallow.

Location: Jerome, Jerome County, ID, US, 83338. I found her on Facebook after she? 'd been missing for about 3 weeks a man named Dave Wright with Furever friends had gotten her from someone who had found her almost dead on the side of the hwy. I knew immediately when I saw the flyer on the website on Facebook that that was my puppy, but they would never let me see her. He decided that I'd rubbed him the wrong way, threatened me with trespassing charges, and made me leave. He made me cry he grabbed my arm and bum and rushed me out of the saw to the Surgical Center for Animals in Jerome Idaho. I was so shocked that I just laughed. I didn't know what to do. I'm a 61-year-old woman who is disabled and lives completely by myself with no friends or family to come with me and support me so I was really taken off guard. So now I'm still trying to get her back and hoping to find her through this flyer.

Pet Description: On one side she has a black spot with three smaller dots that resemble a paw. She's mostly white but has a black tail with a white tip. She also looks like she's wearing black pants. With white toes.

"Let's" this lovely Female Black and White American Staffordshire Terrier named Rasputia so we can have a lovely and safe reunion for its rightful reunion.

Today is , a reminder that knowing how to save a life—especially our furry friends—can make all the difference. While having to administer CPR to your pet can be terrifying, being prepared can help you act calmly and confidently in an emergency.
Stay Calm:
1️⃣ Breathe: Take a few deep breaths to steady yourself. Focus on the feeling of the air filling your lungs.
2️⃣ Delegate: If there are bystanders, assign them tasks like finding the nearest emergency vet.
3️⃣ Focus: Keep your mind clear. Concentrate on the steps ahead and stay in the moment.
When to Start CPR:
🐾 Your pet isn’t responding
🐾 Your pet isn’t breathing
🐾 You can’t feel a heartbeat or pulse
How to Perform CPR:
Compressions:
❤️ Position your pet on their side.
❤️ Deliver 120 compressions per minute (2 per second).
❤️ For every 30 compressions, give 2 breaths.
Breaths:
❤️ Close your pet’s mouth and seal it with your fingers.
❤️ Cover their nose and give 2 breaths—enough to make their chest rise.
❤️ Check for a heartbeat after 2 minutes. If there’s no pulse, continue.
When to Stop CPR:
🐾 Your pet starts breathing and responding
🐾 You reach the vet clinic and they take over
🐾 You can’t continue physically
🐾 Your pet starts breathing but is still unconscious
Recovery Position:
Place your pet’s head to the side, slightly tilting down (unless there’s head trauma).
Compression Techniques:
🐶 Medium to Large Dogs: Compress one third of the chest depth.
🐱 Small Dogs/Cats: Use your thumb and fingers for compression, or compress directly over the heart.
