CAT ADOPTIONS take place at the shelter every Saturday between 11am-2pm. Individual appointments are also accepted during the week, when possible.

The mission of Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter (FOPAS) is to provide care and find permanent homes for the abandoned and stray animals in our care, primarily accomplished through the generosity of volunteers and donors. This weekend was one for the books!! Hoover found his furever home! Hoover has been a long term resident of FOPAS, and has waited so patiently to find his human. His patience finally paid off! 😸🎉

Many more kitties this week found their soulmates too, and we hope to see you find yours this Saturday from 11 AM until 2 PM.

Hip hip hooray to Hoover, Bingo, Hoops & Roquet (together), and Keaton! We are so excited to watch you all flourish in your new homes. ❤️

Chase, formerly known as Jason, was adopted today. He went from foster to furever. The whole family came for his adoption including his dog sister Poppy. Chase is a very lucky dog to get his very own human brothers to grow up with too. Thank you for adopting many times from FOPAS. Congratulations! Happy Gotcha Day Chase ❤️

Teddy, now known as Charlie, was adopted by a long time FOPAS volunteer. She met Charlie and fell in love with him. Here he is heading home sweet home where his dad and canine companions are waiting to greet him. Charlie will have grandkids & grand dogs to play with. Have a happy life Charlie! Meet this week's featured dog, Forrest! He evaded capture for about 2 weeks before getting caught -- talk about "Run, Forrest, run!" But he has been doing very well at FOPAS and is now available for adoption. Learn more about him on our blog:

Forrest is a sweet Heeler/Pointer mix (best guess) with an approximate DOB of January 2023. He was found running in the Northland and he evaded capture for about two weeks before getting caught. Julia’s 3 Dogs of the week Luna, Lucille & Thor. All three dogs came to FOPAS due to their owner passing away. They are bonded and we’d love it if we could keep them together. To keep all three together FOPAS we will offer a special adoption fee. They are used to going to a dog park too.
