Our Story
We operate under the guidance and umbrella of National Great Pyrenees Rescue, a 501C3 non-profit organization, EIN 20-8367835. There is an adoption fee on the dogs that come through our organization - even though we are all volunteers and do not receive pay, we have expenses for the dogs - vet bills (Spay or Neuter is always a requirement, whether it is done before you take your dog home or afterward), transport is not always free, sometimes we provide feed for foster homes, even printer ink and paper are expenses - but we keep everything to a minimum, including our adoption fees. Our "standard" fee is $275, it may be less for a dog who will require meds or is significantly older, would be higher for a puppy, etc. We do require adequate fencing - yes, these dogs like to roam - and that is the point of the fencing requirement.
NGPR was formed in 2006 for charitable purposes and incorporated as a 501 (C)(3) not-for-profit in 2007. Great Pyrenees Rescue, Montana is affiliated with NGPR and operates following their guidelines. Our EIN is 47-4982794
