Buckle up, I have a story about betrayal.
This is a picture of Ginger, our neighbour, who we hate. She always gets to roam free and it just isn't fair. But one day, she was gone.
Mum said, "Ginger got promoted. To indoor cat."
Promoted? I had sooo many questions. I asked the most important one: "What does one have to do to get DEMOTED?"
But Mum, who claims to have lived with cats for 30 years, still speaks only the bare minimum of Cat. So she only hears "Meow?"
She answers, "Yes, promoted!"
I plead with her, "MUM! I NEED to know!"
She replies, "That sounded URGENT"
Hell yes it did.
Fast forward to 5 months later, and Ginger shows up outside our home.
Now usually I call her sh*tpaw, but today I need to stay on her good side. I need answers. So I begin talking through the glass, "Long time no see..." hoping to get her talking.
"Yes, I was in prison." She answers straight away.
"Just like you are." She adds smugly. Then she wanders off.
I feel betrayed on SO many levels!
