Big improvements already from this little guy!He came with the name Max but I’ve been calling him Rudy (a little play on his rude behavior). I commonly change names because of negative associations with their name with previous behaviors. He has been picking up basic commands fast and has been pretty eager to learn. Our first interaction was him flying out of a truck to bite me but now he’s just looking for scratches and attention. While I’d love to jump straight to affection, his behavior isn’t quite there yet. We’re continuing to work on his behavior and hope to continue making strides! 🐾

I feel so lucky to have all of these guys in my life! Every day is a lesson with each of them. Wouldn’t trade it for anything 🐾

A little look on recall work with Arlo! 🐾 Arlo has been working hard to achieve off leash status. Unfortunately, his first year of life was one believed to be very tough. He is very cautious and insecure, so every time he comes out I try to boost his confidence as much as I can. Since joining hikes, he’s become a tad more comfortable but still struggles with loud noises and even the gentlest of corrections. His owner and I decided some one on one sessions were a good idea so we’ll be working together weekly to expose and socialize him to a variety of situations and hopefully build this sweet boy up to a confident and social dog. I plan to post weekly updates with Arlo, so feel free to follow along!
