Riesenschnauzers von Reh Bach We took 2.5 years off for busy schedules and family. We always want to send you well socialized, confident pups!

It wouldn't have been fair to the puppies, or new families, to sacrifice any amount of time we normally put into them.

Know your dog. Trust your dog.

Around 9:00 last night Falco started barking. I instantly knew it was a "visitor". But as I ran to grab the flashlight, I knew from his bark/tone it was the slithery kind of visitor. He was trying to grab this baby copperhead, and I had to wrap my arms around him and pull him back while Rob shot it. I HATE this time of year!! I feel like adult copperheads tend to avoid our yard, but this time of year, copperheads are giving live birth and the babies feed on cicadas under the trees. An adult can give birth to 2-18. Every late July, early August, these babies show up and I worry all night about the dogs being safe. So when I see one baby, knowing there could be another one or up to 18 more , it makes me so nervous. So now I'm going back to my routine of bringing all the dogs in around 9pm and waking up to let them out about 2...when feeding time subsides.

I am sad to say that three of our families have backed out on puppies due to change in jobs, or other circumstances. I was holding them until after 4th of July holiday, and the families returned from their travels. In six years, this has never happened to us. 😢 On a positive note, I am glad it worked out this way, than to have these families take the puppies into their homes and these sweet babies get attached to their new family and then get returned for me to rehome. This way they are currently being crate trained, getting basic obedience, and loving the farm life. We have two males available, and one female. Limited AKC registration, one year health contract, parents have been health tested, pups are current on vaccinations, have been started on a monthly flea and tick and monthly wormer. We are a forever breeder, meaning for the life of your puppy/dog, if your circumstances change where you need to rehome the dog, we will buy it back from you and place it with a new family.

These puppies absolutely love water, are very outgoing and will make great companions, AKC sporting dogs, IGP/IPO, personal protection dogs, or really any direction you want to take them. The dam of this litter is our personal protection for our home, and the sire is my personal K9, certified in patrol obedience and narcotics detection. He is currently working towards certification in tracking and apprehension. Oh, and did I mention these pups have gorgeous true working line giant coats! Easy maintenance if you love to hike or spend time in/around the water.

Transportation: I have family traveling to Florida in two weeks, and puppies can possibly be dropped off in AR, MS, TN, AL, and Northern FL or you can meet up along the route.

This will be our only litter for 2024.

This boy is such a silly mess! I only thought he was worn out enough to sit still for photos 😁

What do those babies get when it's 91F and the fans are only blowing warm air? A swimming pool for the yard, and a misting fan for the napping area of course!! 😁 I think it's a hit. Blue discovered the magical device first (video in comments). Less than two minutes later they're all fighting over their positions in front of it 🤣

It's 6 a.m. and we are about to do unknown vehicle searches. That means the dope is hidden on the vehicles without us watching, so we don't know which cars have it on them. But if the dog alerts on the outside of the car, there is also dope on the inside of the car the dog must find.

Well, 90 minutes into training and the sun is coming up. Building searches and apprehension ✅

Update: Falco.and I are in K9 Handler school and it is going great! The other dogs were already imprinted on odor before classes started, so we were a little behind and stuck on boxes for the first couple of weeks. Last week it began clicking for him, and this week he is really getting unknown hide vehicle searches! Neither of us know where the drugs are hidden, and if they're on the outside of the vehicle then there's also a find on the inside of the vehicle. We have to be able to run the dog around a vehicle and say whether it's blank or our dog found dope on it. So it adds difficulty to the task.

I know all these pups are going to be extremely smart, versatile, and able to take in any direction you want to go. Monkey and Falco both love water and frequently dip their head in a water bucket up to their ears 😁. They are both problem solvers, which is one reason why monkey got her name. Dogs aren't supposed to know how to use tools, but we see monkey do it all the time. Most recently, she discovered she could get on one side of the pen and hit the feeder and knock puppy food out, and then go around to the other side of the pen, lay down on her side and reach her leg under the pen and pull food to herself.

When Falco was learning odor on the detection boxes, there would be four lined up. If odor was in the last box, he would not put his nose to the hole in the box to sniff for odor. He would sniff the first three boxes and when he'd come to the fourth one he would just sit down and look at me as if to say "Hey, It has to be in the this one because the other ones are blank" 😆.

On one hand, it makes these dogs extremely easy to train. They are both big pleasers and want to do what you're asking them to do. I don't really see any stubbornness in Falco, but Monkey has a little bit of a stubborn streak. Mostly if she's wanting attention and you're needing to get in the house or do something else. She will frequently steal something and take off running with it to get you to chase her.

They are both very sweet, loving dogs and are very affectionate. I can see the softness in their puppies even though I know they're tough little pups. It's going to be pretty hard to say goodbye to these furry babies, but I am so excited for their next adventure and to hear how they develop.

She may be little, but she is mighty. And she has a mighty large set of ears too! 😁 You can tell she will have the hard wire coat and has limited fluff on her front legs and lower area of her back legs. I don't know if it's because there's so many males in this litter, or the fact that half of the males are quite large, but she will stand off and watch them rough house. You can tell she took the "thinking" brain from both her parents, because you can see her process a situation before reacting. Videos in comments

Dark Blue has a gentle nature. Another big boy in the litter. He's ornery like all puppies, but he and a few others have good natured fun with each other, and don't necessarily start the fights. 😁 He loves the toys!

Purple boy is more high energy. He has the hard coat, which is easy maintenance and perfect if you spend time on/in the water or hike where there are stick tights, etc. They are all super sweet, but he's one that comes running to me first and likes to be held..then chew on me. 😁
