Unlike humans who sweat through their skin, dogs primarily cool themselves by panting and sweating through their paw pads. While panting helps them release heat through their respiratory system, the sweat glands in their paw pads play a small role in helping them cool down. This process is known as evaporative cooling, where moisture evaporates from the paw pads, taking away some of the heat. However, sweating through the paws is not as efficient as sweating through the skin, which is why dogs rely more on panting to cool down. 🌈

Sometimes you have to take risks and just see what happens. When we decided to go short on the ears for easier maintenance, it revealed a baby yoda ear! it does flop down btw, but it was so much less noticeable with all that hair on it! 😍
