V 𝘿𝙪𝙠𝙚 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝙎𝙘𝙝ä𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙡 SCHH3
DDR Line 12
DOB: May 9th, 2003.
In Truvy's third generation.
Like his sire V 𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙤𝙣 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝙁𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙡𝙤ß SCHH2 and paternal grandsire V 𝙏𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝙁𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙡𝙤ß SCHH3 (LGA) FH2 IPO3 before him, he produced quite a bit of heavy DDR type, as seen with his grandson V 𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙮 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝙃𝙖𝙪𝙨 𝙄𝙧𝙞𝙨 IPO3. (Truvy's sire)
Duke was also the sire of another personal favorite, V 𝙄𝙧𝙤𝙘 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝙃𝙖𝙪𝙨 𝙄𝙧𝙞𝙨 IPO3, who produced very well, like his sire.
Our German import Dracul and Pantera go back to this male as well, through Iroc.

For copperhead bites in dogs:

• 1) Wash bite area with water to remove
venom and possible contaminants
(Do NOT scrub or touch the area at all.
Do NOT try to squeeze venom out.)
Gently pour room temperature water over the bite area. Do not touch, scrub or try to squeeze the venom out. This can cause even more tissue damage.

• 2) Crate immediately/restrict movement
to prevent the further spread of venom. Movement makes the venom spread throughout the body more. Get the dog inside in a crate immediately and only let them out to use the bathroom while they're in recovery. Keep your other dogs from touching the bite area or getting debris on it. Gently pour water over the area if any dirt gets on it while going out to potty.

• 3) Give Benadryl immediately (2mg per
lb of body weight) The allergic reaction to a copperhead's bite is what does the most damage of all. Benadryl keeps this to a minimum.

• 4) Give anti inflammatories ASAP (like
extra virgin olive oil) I gave a dropper full of carbon 60 (diluted with extra virgin olive oil) to Bismarck when she got bit. Gave it every 6 hours along with the Benadryl and a dropper full of h**p oil for the pain. (Carbon 60 helps to restore torn down tissue in the body; I figured this could only help, which I'm pretty sure it did. It's a supplement I take and give to my dogs as well. The extra virgin olive oil it is diluted with is a natural antiinflammatory.)

• 5) Closely monitor and give Benadryl every 6 hrs. Watch for excess drooling, further swelling and lethargy.

This is what I did when Bismarck had gotten bit by a copperhead on her right back paw. It was about midnight and being in a rural area, emergency clinics that were open were very far away. Even though it was a baby one that got her really good, she made a very quick and full recovery. The very next morning I saw a huge improvement. Later that evening, she wasn't even limping anymore.
The snake in question was unalived as well.
I'm not a vet and not saying this is what *you* should do...Just sharing what *I* did in hopes that it helps others who may not be able to get in to an emergency vet in the event of a copperhead bite.

Lump is line 5A through previously posted V 𝙄𝙢𝙢𝙤 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝙃𝙖𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙛𝙖𝙣𝙜 SCHH3, rather than V 𝙂𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙤 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙡𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙙 SCHH3, as most all Line 5A dogs are.
His sire G 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙤 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝙍𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙯 SCHH3 (SG-BSP) FH IPO3 (DDR 155351) is a son of V 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙪𝙨 𝙒𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙨𝙚𝙣 SCHH3 FH3 PSH3, (DDR 137287) a product of the few times "new" blood was brought into the GDR. Any new blood brought in was always made sure to go back to an original founder; this case being V 𝙄𝙢𝙢𝙤 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝙃𝙖𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙛𝙖𝙣𝙜 SCHH3. (DDR Line 5A Founder - 1971 Körbuch)
Several of my dogs go back to him.
In pure East lines today, his blood primarily lives on in descendants of SG 𝘼𝙧𝙘𝙤 𝙫𝙤𝙣 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙯𝙡𝙚𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 SCHH3 and G 𝙇𝙪𝙣𝙖 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝙃𝙖𝙪𝙨 𝙇𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙨𝙠𝙮 IPO1.

So far the only pure East dogs alive today that go back to the old Line 5A through Immo rather than Gundo (Through Lump) that I've seen are 𝘽𝙚𝙜𝙞 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙬𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙪𝙨 owned by 𝐌𝐊 𝐇𝐚𝐮𝐬 𝐃𝐃𝐑 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐬 and SG 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙫𝙤𝙣 𝙃𝙚𝙣𝙖-𝘾 AD IGP1 TR1 ATT CGC CGCA CGCU TKN FDC owned by Hena-C Kennel Webster,NH.

Thusly, all Line 5A dogs alive today descend directly from Immo.

He's a big boy who will defend me if the time comes, but otherwise loves going places and is essentially bombproof in public.
Earlier on this day I had taken him and three of the girls to a local park at the lake. (nice place to go running) Someone's dog slipped out of its collar and repeatedly charged us. Invasor and the girls (I'm pretty sure it was Truvy, Echo and Pantera) held their ground so the loose dog never attacked, but were still cool as a cucumber. I continued on the trail with them while the dog came back and charged several times with the owners trailing behind, out of breath trying to catch it. I'm not sure if they ever did manage to wrangle it..
Yes, they have good gentics, but a large part of this is every day life, (the dogs living *with* me, doing basically everything *with* me) more so even than training. Environmental soundness is much easier to teach when the dog is always on the same page as you.

These guys are out of our Belarusian import 𝙀𝙡 𝙄𝙣𝙫𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙎𝙄 and 𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙖 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝙈𝙆 𝙃𝙖𝙪𝙨. Minimal linebreeding; with a 5-5,6 to SG 𝙇𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝙎𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙯𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙢 SCHH2 and 5-5 to V 𝘼𝙧𝙚𝙠 𝙫𝙤𝙣 𝙪𝙣𝙨 𝙃𝙚𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙩 SCHH3. No Sven and minimal Tino and Sando.

Medium-sized, medium-strong male with very good expression and pigment. He has very good bone strength and is well proportioned. Well angulated in the front and hindquarters. Chest proportions are angled appropriately for his age. The forequarters cover sufficient ground. In the rear he develops powerful gaits from correct sequence. His appearance embodies a very good type. As a representative of the XIII bloodline, he is interesting for breeding, as he is 3-4 in**ed to Xito v. Baruther Land. When choosing a partner, bi***es must be chosen that do not have a family history of long hair or tooth defects.

Berix was a littermate sister to V 𝘽𝙤𝙟𝙖𝙧 𝙫𝙤𝙢 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙝𝙤𝙛 SCHH3 ZVV2 SP-PS, (DDR 77948) who was imported to the Czech Republic and used in the Pohranicni straze breeding program, as well as the Czechoslovakian wolfdog program. (Bojar was part of the last cross to pure wolves)

All of my dogs who go back to this lovely female via the Bandit x Okki combo have had very nice drives, nerves and obvious intelligence. (Pantera and Prickle through their third generations and Hela through her fourth. Our "C" litter goes back to this combo in their 5th generation as well.)
I know, lots of black and tans/bicolors posted recently. They absolutely do exist in East German (DDR) lines! Everyone loves black sables, but let's show the other classic colors some love and keep them going. I love my old school looking bicolors and black and tans!

That litter is one of my top favorite maternal lines. Unfortunately the males of the D litter did not get bred, including D**o.

I remember immediately noticing her confidence and drive when I finally got back with her and Invasor from the airport. Obviously they were ready to finally stretch their legs, but both had zero qualms about being in a completely new environment with new dogs.

So I live out in the country, which is usually full of nice folk. Well, being East Texas, occasionally there are "methed up" areas, if you know what I mean...
First level of the Use of Force Continuum is "officer presence." (i.e. you don't want to look like a wet behind the ears rookie who's unsure of yourself and/or in poor physical condition.) Same can be applied to dogs. I want ones that look strong and intimidating; easier to ward off a threat without even having to act.
I had my trio (Invasor, Echo and Hydra) with me earlier, which most likely prevented a methed up individual from hitting a lick. Got a good look at the dogs and went on his way.

Yago is a medium-sized, medium-strong black male with rich brown markings, who, when presented as an 8-year-old, appears to be in excellent condition. His head is strong, well-cut, and expressive with correct ears. Yago is well proportioned and correct in the front. With normal to well-angled forequarters and hindquarters, the male develops a particularly vital gait. He moves with a sublime stride, in the desired position of balance. The stride could be even longer. A particularly work-oriented male, who was bred for longer due to his excellent condition, but especially due to his good genetic makeup. He is particularly suitable for well-built bi***es as a partner to balance out genetic predispositions. Result of the temperament test: Attack: Very good. Escape: Good.

"Winner selection VA1 1946 (SV and VDH) Father of many VA males and VA females (including father of VA male Rolf vom Osnabrücker Land, VA female Reina vom Osnabrücker Land and VA female Rena vom Osnabrücker Land). As a direct sire and as a breeding ancestor after the Second World War, Lex became the founding father of over 80% of the world's best breeding animals for German Shepherds. Lex's offspring won international champion and winner titles on all continents. Today, in 73 member nations of the SV and WUSV, there is hardly a breeding animal that does not have Lex or his sister Lende as its ancestor in the father and/or mother line.

Lex only lived to be four years old. He was already chosen as a winning dog at the age of two and was to be sold to Rockefeller's niece Geraldine Dodge for the then astronomical sum of 36,000 US dollars. Lex died miserably, probably after arsenic was thrown into his kennel. At that time, the Preußenblut kennel was located in Haus Waldfrieden on Berningshöhe near the Fernblick restaurant. In 1954, the breeding and training facility for German Shepherds moved to the outskirts of Lüstringen, where development has long since overtaken it.

The fact that the dog survived the last months of the war is thanks to the special care of Betty Dettmer, who, among other things, took Lex with her into the bunker during bombing raids and protected the breeding facility from attack while Karl Dettmer was at the front. During one attack, incendiary bombs hit the kennels.

"Despite his early death, Lex's extraordinary hereditary power made him the founding father of the world's best German Shepherds after the war, and has been for 50 years up to the present day," writes Dietrich-Wilhelm Dettmer, born in 1954, son of the Prussian blood father Karl Dettmer, who died in 1965.
The offspring of this dog, bred by him and my mother, made the German Shepherd the most popular and common breed of dog in the world. Lex's offspring were sold to 43 countries around the world and achieved world winner and international champion titles in all parts of the world. Even today, 15 generations after Lex, around 80% of the world's best breeding dogs come from Lex's line of descendants.""
