Sweet Queenie was rescued with 6 other pups, all of similar age, but we are unsure if they are all siblings. She is energetic and playful. Queenie is very friendly with people and also other dogs, but can be a little shy and submissive. Our handsome Denzel is in foster and now looking for his new forever home. Denzel is chunky lab size, 5 years old and people friendly. He is charming and a very good looking boy with a playful nature. He is more confident since being in his foster home and is now ready to have his own family and human just to himself. Bernard is a medium size, approx DOB 01/2015.
Bernard is shy at first with new people, he is very sweet and friendly once he gets to know you. He enjoys cuddles and attention.

Bernard isn't too keen on other dogs, so we feel he will be best suited to being homed as an only dog.

Bernard has previously had surgery on his back legs. This has left Bernard with slightly deformed back legs. He enjoys his time in the play area and loves to explore and have a good sniff around. Bernard walks well on a lead, he just needs to walk at his own pace. Bernard has spent most of his life in a shelter. He would really benefit from being in a warm home, with a garden for him to potter around in.

Bobby is an older boy who would love to have a comfy sofa for his last years. He has a very calm temperament and just needs gentle exercise as he is not over active these days. Despite his age, he still enjoys being outside and loves to explore new surroundings. He is people friendly, but he does not like cats. He is friendly with other dogs he meets when out, but he would be best homed as an only dog with a quiet family. He is not used to living with children. Bobby is still in Romania, but is fit enough to travel.

Dusica is a beautiful girl who is very friendly with people, we would recommend her being an only dog as she loves people and can get jealous if another dog is around. She enjoys attention and tummy rubs. Dusica has a bone deformity over her left eye which is from an old fracture this doesn’t affect her in anyway and requires no treatment.

We are so sad to have to announce the passing of our lovely boy Cash. While he was never adopted, he certainly didn't lack a family at our shelter. He will be dearly missed. Here he is enjoying a brush and run around in the summer, with his friend and kennel-mate Connie. Sleep well baby boy. 💛

Our Story

Romanian Rescue Appeal was founded by Lindsey Church in March 2014.

The Romanian Rescue Appeal brings together a team of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from the awful situations they face in Romania. It is run by the trustees and volunteers, with the support of several other experienced rescuers in the UK. and Romania. Our aim is to find loving new homes for the dogs that we rescue .

We are in the process of building our own Rescue Centre in Tecuci, Romania. This will enable us to provide the care needed for the dogs destined to die in the Public shelters.

We rely totally on donations and fund raising events. Our main platform to raise donations is via Facebook. Without the support of the supporters on here, our dogs would have nothing. We have found loving homes for over a thousand dogs since our start.
